thats because you didn't play the originals, you see, the old ones make sense because of the things that happen in the game, on the original game, two of the characters sound annoying eddie (that guy with a gun) and a little girl.

but the others had good voices, and their voices made sense on what the characters are going through, especially maria (the woman in red), PLUS, the characters are modeled on the voice actors themselves and done motion capture on the voice actors, so they're the only people that can get it "right" you see?

also, am I the only one that think the new game disturbingly resembles dead nation? the helicopter views, the coop, the monsters, and the horror theme.

I think the second set of characters are from The Sims :P
