My favorite memory comes from COD4, the first time I joined a clan and dominated the game for months, it was so much fun. Too bad I hate the franchise now =/

I built sexy created wrestlers in WWE Smackdown (PS1-360). I used cheat codes in Leisure Suit Larry (PS2) and Dead or Alive 2 (PS2). Well, with GoW3, my search had come to an end. Aphrodite......wow. |
Haha, that was brilliant.
Glad to see I'm not the only one :')

I'll add that to my list too, my first game of COD4, it felt like I had leapt into the future.
Never had I seen such a precise and polished game with flawless online play. Although I got raped at first, it wasn't long before I was raping them.

My highlight of this gaming generation so far is that it gave me my favourite game ever, God of War III. I bought a PS3 just for that game and it was well worth it, truly stunning game. Other brilliant games: Bioshock series, Mass Effect series, Alan Wake, Gears of War series, PSP GOW games and the LittleBigPlanet series. Oblivion and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow are awesome too and Dead Rising was great. Another 2/3 years left of this gen so there's still plenty more gaming excellence to come.
Playing Uncharted for the first time , I was left speechless, the introduction into online gaming for the first time, Warhawk ownage, inFamous, Dead Space and Batman being a lot better than excpected, Resident evil 5 flopping, Uncharted 2 obsession, GOW3 slightly dissapointing, Red Dead Redemption beautiful open world and shooting mechanics, Demon souls brought me back the feeling I had when I started gaming, rage un balanced black ops multiplayer, aaaand, thats about it.
Okami- well i originally bought okami on ps2 but sold it. Then I played it on wii and it rocked my socks lol. I was so in love with the game. The journey, the story the epicness of certain scenes. That game easily entered my top 5 after completion.
Tales of Vesperia- Loved the tales series since symphonia in 2004, so I had to get vesperia for the 360. I pout over 100 hours into the game and it was one of the most awesome rpgs i have ever played. Also the game is gorgeous it easily has the best cel-shading in my opinion.
Monster hunter tri- The only monster hunter game were i really got beast in. I remember me and a friend talking to each other on the phone as we played (fuc wii speak). Also there was this 11 year old named n9er who was annoying as hell and kept following us and dying. We eventually made him our bitch.
uncharted 2- That game put hairs on my chest I love that shit. Nathan drake is the character of this gen to me.
Why would you think it's ending soon ?
There have definitely been some great games this gen, and coming up.
MGS:PW, Uncharted series, LittleBigPlanet 2, Resistance FoM and inFamous 2 come to mind for Playstation.
Got a Wii not too long ago, but Donkey Kong Country Returns and SMG2 are brilliant.
e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)
Best Memories:
-Lost of drunken parties playing the Wii
-Playing lots of great games with my DS, my first handled console.
-The addictive and rewarding experience to try beating the every challange in DKCR
-The thrilling MGS4 gameplay on very hard mode.
-Playing Super Metroid on VC for the first time, one of the best games ever made.
-The time travels in Braid
-The genuine fun of Super Mario Galaxy
-The first impact with true next-gen graphics playing Gear Of War for the first time.
My best memories of the Gen were always when I felt like I was playing something that was new. If I had another Gamecube-like System I would have never felt that gaming was new.
Best memories = Many Wii games.
Wii Sports_Using the Motion controls for the 1st time felt amazing and made me think "This is really cool"
Super Paper Mario_Using Motion controls to use Tippi was hard for me at 1st. I didn't understand it. The odd part was instead of making me mad I was interested.
Super Mario Galaxy_ I used to think the whole upside down gravity thing was ausome and somehow made me happy.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl_The Multi-Player in that game is one of the best ever made IMO...playing with Olimar for the 1st time was great.
Mario Kart Wii_After playing with Motion controls for nearly a year, I thought Motion controls would never surprise me again. I was wrong, driving with the Wii Wheel made me feel like I was in an arcade...felt great.
Wii Fit_I remember playing Wii Fit with my family. I thought it was so cool that a game could know if your actually doing the workout or just pretending to.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii_Playing with family was endless fun.
Too bad that NSMBW is my last great memory of this Gen. There are some other good ones but not great.
I think I will always remember this Gen as the Gen that showed game developers that taking risks and being unique can benefit you. I am happy that with each new Gen we will no longer see just a visual upgrade but new ways to play too. It opened up new possibilities for the future that got kick-started by the DS and Wii. I don't think gaming will ever be the same which IMO is a good thing. This Gen was kind of the start of a new era in gaming. The bad thing though is that it had to start somewhere and since it started with this Gen it had loads of potential that was wasted and kind of just showed us a sneak peak into the future.
