Super Mario Galaxy, until it ended (it's a weird game in a way, as soon as you play it you get a massive grin on your face, then it ends and you feel sad and barely play it again)
For lasting good memories I think Wii Sports and Endless Ocean.

Uncharted 2 train scene, Super Paper Mario ending, awesome moments from MAG that made me feel like a super soldier, playing my friends in SSBB and Mario kart wii, and playing the masterpiece known as Ratchet and Clank a Crack in time. I think my final epic moment of this gen will be the ending of Uncharted 3. :(

I wish I had tons of weed right now.
Should be getting some later today, not tonnes though, sadly.
Wii U Nintendo Network ID, Borode
XBOX Live ID, Borode
The ending of MGS4 and the goodbye of the gaming icon of my childhood :(. Hopefully Kojima will do something, story wise, in order to have some more SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!! XD
probably left 4 dead (mainly from playing versus but also a little co-op campaign).
Easily some of the most enjoyable online multiplayer experiences i've had ever.
Other than that, mass effect also stands out because of it's engrossing and profound story.
I know how you feel, this gen started for me in 2007 when I got a Wii, but it didn't feel truly next gen until I sold my Wii and bought a PS3. Since then I have become too "involved" in gaming, especially when I come on websites like this, so this generation has flown by.
I don't know about my favourite moment this gen though, it could be the first time I bought my PS3 and played MGS4 all day and the sunset sun bounced off my shiny PS3 in the evening, that put a smile on my face. It could be when I discovered Final Fantasy VII on PSN, or when my Final Fantasy XIII collectors edition arrived in the mail or when I got my first HDTV. I don't know really there are too many to name.

I know this is off topic but isn't bugrimmer the guy who had 2 girlfriends and got hated by pretty much the whole VGC at one point of time a few years ago?
OT: My best memories in a game had to be with Grand Theft Auto 4. The single player was amazing, long and the freeroam was amazing. But the online captured me the most. I can't think of a game I've spent more time with. The excitement and fun I had with the game is unlimited.

Oh yeah, it's that guy.
Everybody ignore this thread and give the OP as much shit as possible.

Best memory this gen was playing Mario Galaxy. Makes me feel like a kid again.

Favorite game of the generation: Valkyria Chronicles, great and charming game. Full of amazing moments, clever design, good and round story and great caharacter design, spent hundreds of hours in this game, Mario galaxy and Demon Souls and my second and third place.
Favorite Internet moment: Final fantasy XIII Xbox360 announced; oh yes, Who can't forget that day; the Internet was in full stupid mode, meltdowns erupted everywhere; just check at this delicious rage:

Sad thing, the meltdowns were way more fun than the game.
