Should be well over 100 million sold by 2015. Rest of this year and 2012 are gonna be big with the new $249 price, and whatever year they drop it to $200 will be massive as well.

yea my estimates may be high but i currently got PS3 at 105 in 2014.

Sounds about right to me. PS3 is nowhere near dead since it just dropped price and has plenty of room for more drops. I wonder if PS3 will drop to $200 around the same time the Wii U comes out.

cool add 8-15m for 2015, PS3 is a solid second near first for me unless wii is discontinued in 1 -3 yrs then PS3 is first by the end of the gen meeting my expectations.

Yeah definitely man. I agree with you there. I don't think the PS3 will quite catch up to the Wii but by like 2015 the gap should be only 5-10 million maximum (its about 35 million now)

yea. if Wii is not discontinued i see it at around 110 to 121m by 2015, and if it is then about 115 as i got PS3 at 109 to 118 by 2015.

Around the Network

if this is true than im predicting in the year 2015 wii will have 300 million consoles & 360 280 million sold lol

Ok i gotta say this. Sony dominates for 2 gens straight and now its predicted to be the lead platform about 9 years after its launch?

This unintentionally shows just how much the giant has fallen.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

ROFL.

The article contradicts itself horribly.

PS3 lead even thought they say wii U and new Xbox on market?

Dreaming, pure dreaming.

For a start Ps3 has now had 3 price drops when 360 hasnt had any. All Microsoft need to do now is hit the magic $99/£99 mark and they will rule the sales till Sony does the same. Xbox 360 has continued good sales against the PS3 without price drops even though Sony has done so 3 times.

Lots of things the article misses and gets wildly wrong. Worse than some of Patchers predictions.
