*insert PSN being down joke*
I can't think of one. =(
hmm, I can't imagine that the WiFi part is so expensive, the electronics must be worth just a few dollars. And WTF, remove one speaker? So it's only mono, or is it simulated stereo?

I guess I didn't realize how lifeless and solo the experience on PSP had become. |
Wait, does ds have all of the above? I honestly don't know. so can anyone inform me please? What's wrong with playing alone? I played alone when I had a nes, a gameboy colour etc.

This would do extremely poor in Japan where the most popular PSP game makes use of Wifi.

The DS has online multiplayer, yes.

Man Sony the PSP is going to get slaughtered once Vita and 3DS are both contending for Christmas sales. I can see the need for Sony to cut the price of PSP to compete with DS and 3DS's cheaper price tags. But holy crap releasing a new model this late its like when Nintendo released the Micro. The Micro failed to generate much sales and didn't really change anything or benefit Nintendo. In the same way this new model isn't going to sell worth shit. Its just a waste of shelf space and resources!

It's indeed a little bit different. One less speaker, matte, buttons changed a bit. It's not a bad option though, Wifi isn't THAT much needed in a PSP. |
Sorry sir but... what? This isn't a speaker, but a stick.

There are several great solo experiences to be had on the PSP, and it's still a good multimedia device. Multiplayer isn't very decent on the PSP, so that's probably why they took off of the Wifi. My guess is that it will be marketed directly to the budget iPod audience as a cheaper alternative. While I do see some petential problems, with that scheme, it sounds like a decent way to gain a few extra customers before the Vita launches.
