Probably he doesn't like high pitched voices too much. I personally think the best was Halford, at least when he was young he hasn't got has much tecnique as Bruce but his scream was just crazy. Of course it's a matter of taste.

Truth but they're songs are much less vocal intensive compared to Maiden's. Matter of fact, people at Maiden concerts mostly sing, people at Megadeath concerts mostly mosh, at least when I saw them.

I prefer Iron Maiden but only the ones with Bruce Dickinson as vocal. But for last few years I have been drifting more into the direction of Nightwish and Evanescence.
