Metallica were incredible in the 80s, then they turned to shit in the 90s.

I still loved their Metallica Album released in 1991, but after that..... no good.

Megadeth is the shit, though Iron Maiden blows chunks IMO.

(quietly gets back to his Arch Enemy album)

Funny you should say that as I hear a lot of Maidens as an influences when I listen to Arch Enemy... I thought they were kinda sucking lately but new Arch Enemy album turned out great.

Melodeath is swamped in Maiden influences indeed - but the band itself, I just hate. Vocals, lack of heaviness, anything and everything about them.

AE is a sure bet these days, I think.

I'm sorry, but I can't figure out which band you're dissing here...

Maiden, of course.

Seriously??? Iron Maiden probably has the best vocals of any metal band... imo of course.

Probably he doesn't like high pitched voices too much. I personally think the best was Halford, at least when he was young he hasn't got has much tecnique as Bruce but his scream was just crazy. Of course it's a matter of taste.

Truth but they're songs are much less vocal intensive compared to Maiden's. Matter of fact, people at Maiden concerts mostly sing, people at Megadeath concerts mostly mosh, at least when I saw them.

Blind Guardian is where it's at with vocals.

Russell Allen and Roy Khan are the real thing for my ears.

Roy Khan? Isn't he that Kamelot dude?
He's okay.

IT's MEGADETH NOT MEGADEATH.

I cringe every time I see that

I prefer Iron Maiden but only the ones with Bruce Dickinson as vocal. But for last few years I have been drifting more into the direction of Nightwish and Evanescence.
