I'm guessing 3 to 10 depending on what game you are playing and what setting you have on the vita.

My guess is 5-6 hours but 4 hours when playing Uncharted.

I'd like to think 8 hours, but 5 or so is much more likely.

This is my guess, too.  And I think a lot of people are going to complain (Like when PSP was about to launch and people were saying "We can't even watch Lord of the Rings before the battery dies!").  In the end, I don't think it will be much of a hinderance.  It's the cost of having a lot of power in the palm of your hands.  How long does your laptop/tablet last?


My laptop lasts 2 hours, because it has a 16" screen and is meant as a desktop PC which you can have on your lap if you are near a power port

PS Vita is to be carried around so needs more battery life. I would expect 4-5 hours with wi-fi and 3G off, but actually having Uncharted Golden Abyss and hopefully a GTA  is what I really want

That's cool.  But I'm willing to bet avatar control that I'm closer to correct than you--even with the oled screen and the lack of umd.  I don"t think the PSV will last one minute over 3 hours without a recharge.

I would take that bet.

Two bets at once?  I'd have to be crazy!  Okay.  The bet is on.  Now all that's left is for us to get some reliable numbers from a reliable source.

4-5 hours sounds about right.. With wi-fi turned on, I can imagine it lasting 3-4 hours. Pretty decent if you ask me.

We can all be hopeful, but judging by the 3ds and other smart phones battery life the psv may have a 4-6 battery life my guess.
