Forums - Gaming - Your thoughts? Locked RAGE SP content if purchased used...

I can agree with online pass, but locking out some SP content is stupid and dumb.

i dont see the problem here other than some cheap-ass wanting to save $5(which they are saying they would pay anyways for the content?!).

So this is all in relation to the preorder dlc?

If your right on that then I may keep my preorder intact. I just didnt want a situation where on disc content was permanently locked because what if I dont like rage? My resell value would be damaged bigtime, possibly eorder than say mortal kombat.

Right, he wasn't talking about any future DLC.

So, he basically is making his game a Windows OEM software.

i don't mind, i buy my games new anyways. o_o

Is the DRM pc only?

A couple of flaws in the OP--
- Don't think of it as locked content, think of it as DLC. DLC is locked from your, even in single player games, do you get made at that?
- You've never (or very rarely) owned any of the games you've bought, you have only bought licenses. You don't own anything.

This really doesn't seem like anything to get up in arms over.

overblown thread is overblown.

how is this different from any of the other dozens of games that offer pre-order bonus incentives that only the original purchaser is given access to? let me answer that for you ... it's not.

Heck.. extra missions seems better to me then a golden skinned gun or sword as bonus for buying new.. >_>

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

If something like this causes you not to buy the game, I really have to question how much you actually wanted it in the first place.
