I'll see when it comes up before I judge all I can ask is when do I get my photo album back? I have some pictures on there that I want back andwhen do we get IM back? That was a excellant feature.  Its like we lost features and added a whole bunch of data to our profiles.

Some of the changes sound interesting. I can't wait to see it.

Also, just a question, will there be any type of link between the sites, or will the two sites have nothing to do with each other?

As you mentioned it is of the upmost importance that all existing accounts work for both websites otherwise I could just create an account on the other site named after a popular member and pretend to be him. It would mess up everything.

Getting the sites separated seems like an excellent idea. Even though both involve video games, as you stated, they are two totally independent aspects.

like cgi this is my go to website and i will go where the sales charts and stats are as i'm pretty sure most will,i can only assume we'll get the game database and some forums so i don't see how much different it will be for me hopefully you can see a review from the database,the news stories used to turn up in the forums anyway and thats how i liked it

Dr Grass was right, a few years back things were more exciting to watch and talk about. Maybe when all consoles are released things will be as they were or at least, close to that.

About the news, i did prefer the time when it was all about numbers, analysis and stuff like that. That`s the VGChartz that i knew. The other features i barely use it anyway.
Not to mentio that back then the site really was easier to use.

Two sites, uhmm, hope is for the best. I kind of like the attitude of the devs and form ioi trying to improve the experience, based on the community demands.

However, I do think people were not being fair, is not like these guys' intention was to bloat the forum on purpose, and to allow crappy editorial articles.

as a former lurker from o7 to 10 and now member for a yr i find this to be great news. i must admit i've never fully used the tools available to me here on VGC.

the industry has nothing to show us there for we have nothing to talk about hins the site being stagnant.

and VGC isn't the only site with this problem. so ioi i'm looking forward to the changes and i only ask that you give us a spell check cause i spend more time editing my post before i post then i do posting and thats not cool.

So with the splitting into two distinct sites does that include having two separate forums? One for each site

Many sites do a unified logon for commenting, though i don't know how that would work for forums, but it can't be too different from a logistical standpoint, if merely to keep the credentials and avatar the same across all brands

Weblogs inc., does it rather well, as i would be hard pressed to choose, especially if this would lead to a schism of the existing community

It's a good idea, though fraught with its own disadvantages
