Neither do I, but I love Smash Bros. Hugely different experience from most fighting games.

If you have a Wii, you owe it to yourself to buy Brawl. Even if you dont like the multiplayer. the one player stuff will be loads of fun. One of the most anticipated games of 08.

Although I've always enjoyed the idea of all the Nintendo characters (now more than just Nin), I could never get into Melee. I've a strong feeling I'd have the same struggle with Brawl.
I never got into Smash Bros - had the N64 title, and although I played it a lot - I never loved it.
My collection of 40+ GC games doesn't include SSBM - and I never really played it.
That said, I'll almost certainly get the Wii version - the amount of new content & fan service warrants it IMO.

2,000 kills, is that all? Man I must of drilled that game then, I had over 700 hours clocked up on just Princess Zelda/Shiek alone, and had over 19,000 Opponent KO's.

why this series is one of my favorites you should try it give ita chance PLEASE!!!!!!
I don't like the Smash Bros series at all. I don't like fighting games in general mainly due to combo memorization. While I can see that Smash Bros is different in interesting ways from other fighting games, its even heavier reliance on memorizing dozens of different combos for various situations kills it for me. It's the same reason I can't stand the Soul Calibur series.
As for this annoying every Wii owner must buy Brawl or they are insane campaign I see on most video game forums, don't forget that 70% of Gamecube owners did not buy Melee (although I was one of the 30% who did) so there a lot of people like Rol and me who have 0 anticipation for the game itself.
We own Melee, and I tried to get into it, but never felt the urge to play more than a few minutes. My 9 year old son however played the heck out of it. He is counting the hours till Brawl is in the stores, while I could care less. He also liked to play the original Smash Brothers whe he was at his friend's house.
