Yet somehow he still manages to win awards voted for by the public, showing that he's probably equally loved by a certain category of people.

A legion of teen girls will stampede you if you dare say anything bad in front of them.

My Grandma reads the Daily Mail. She now hates immigrants and single mothers, despite herself being both back in the 1960s. She's also becoming increasingly Islamophobic. For years, the rest of my family have been trying so far unsuccessfully to ween her onto what we consider quality newspapers such as the Independent and the Guardian. My Grandma got a first class degree in Economics, I can't see how she is falling into their bullshit trap, I really hope I'm not like that when I'm in my 70s.

That is pretty tragic that a tabloid can change a person so much.  After hating all these new things does she even have a new love for anything else.  Seems like she has absorbed all the hate, anger, and misinformation while not absorbing anything of real value.  Although I am against illegal immigration, I know there is a difference between illegal and legal (I don't group them all together).  I am supposing she was a legal immigrants (remind her there are legal immigrants that contribute to the society not just the "evil" illegal immigrants).  I realize immigration is a little different issue between the USA and UK but there are some similarities.  Perhaps you should remind her about her past more then she might put two and two together.

I'd say that you, as an American, should try learning a little more about that news station you so worship (among other things you should desperately learn).

i haved spent more time watching any  one of those news stations in the last month than you have all of the combined in your lifetime.

you ignorance of our media practices is painfully obvious, and somewhat hilarious. you act like you know stuff that you have zero knowledge of, and litterally have zero (actually less than zero) clue what the hell your talking about

but im not rupert murdoch....

and if i was i have no control over what FOX reports.

but it very clear that the liberal media have done their job, you should thank Jeffry emmelt and jeff zucker have done their job, so well that even people who dont know anything about amercian news fell for their plot. they sure are a sneaky bunch, or their follows are idiots, or both

tabloids are so much better then real life.

The news generator is pure gold:

HAVE THE FRENCH HAD SEX WITH THE QUEEN?
COULD FILTH ON TELEVISION GIVE THE MIDDLE CLASS CANCER?
COULD THE METRIC SYSTEM MAKE BRITAIN'S FARMERS IMPOTENT?

I'd say yes, yes and yes.
