I really don't care what it scores. For me I already know it will be one of my favorite games ever made.

94 will be the average.

Considering Melee got 90% on Game Rankings and Brawl has so many improvements and online play, I wouldn't be surprised if Brawl gets a rating of 96% or something close. I've noticed online play can easily inflate scores. Anyway, I also am fairly confident that this will become one of my favorite games. I probably won't buy a Wii to play it with until the Wii costs $200 or less, though.

Edit (January 9): My prediction is that it will have an average of 96.4% on Game Rankings after 50 reviews.

I think some rewiewers rewiew SB's based on their personal experience with the game, for example like mosts peoples problem with the game if they don't like it is; if they suck at it it's easy to get frustrated with it.

And some people just can't 'get' the style of fighting it is, at first play it plays as a button masher, when really it takes hours and hours of development to really get a feel for it's unique fighting style.

If you're a novice, it's incredibly easy to get your ass served.

It'll have points taken off for a bad storyline.

Looks like the same old to me... I guess we'll see if Wii motion controls truly innovate the fighting genre. If not (especially if people choose to use a regular controller instead) then it's just another Super Smash Brothers with more bells and whistles (basically the reason Halo 3 was bashed by some people...).

*Edit: Oops I forgot about it having online, a pretty amazing feature in 2008... Umm yeah anyways I guess it will probably at least keep it from being more of the same.

I think 93 or 94 if they complain about the lack of online talk, friend codes, and about the story, mid-90s if they dismiss these.

Presentation - 10 .. dozens of different characters, stages and items for your enjoyment.
Graphics - 9/9.5 ..from the looks of it so far the textures and everything look great.
Sound - 10 ..ochestrated music from over 35 different people that are contributing.
Gameplay - 10 ..it's been 6 years, it's only gotten better.
Lasting Appeal - 10 ..Best multiplayer in anygame, online, stage builder, trophies/stickers, event matches, a real aventure mode, probably melee classic mode.

I'm seeing this game as a 98%-99%. Probably average out at 95% from them all. I have a feeling Brawl will be on the top 10 list.
