This is one thing I really wish Nintendo were more into. I mean, obviously it's not necessary, it's not why I bought my 3DS, but these stories are always nice and I wish WiiWare were a touch more open.

No, not really. People want N64 emulator on it so they can play OOT, too.

people will do it becuase its their device and they can do what they want. Legally. No matter how much it seems to diplease you, people can still legally hack and alter their own devices to their wildest dreams. Crazy idea i know, that people can do what they want with the things they own. What a shame.

My arguement is; Sony is giving people all the reasons not to, but there will still be one smart ass who wants to be "that guy" who ruins the fun for everyone.

Sony is really trying to grab the indie developers with this. I love that strategy, there's so much good to be had with this -

1) Good, innovative, cheap games
2) Good revenue for said developers, good relations between them and Sony, perhaps more games for the vita
3) Everything for everyone!

Good stuff, good stuff.

hacking your onw device does not ruin the fun for anyone else. You must mean piracy which is something completely different.

Piracy is usually a result from hacking no? I agree that not everyone who hacks wants to pirate but imo, they are few and far between.

You implied hacking was bad in your post, at least that is what i got from it. Hacking in and of itself is not bad in any way and i see it posted  too much on this forum like its a bad thing. PIracy  involves hacking but does not mean hacking is bad. People should be more specific and say that piracy is bad and not hacking. I could of been wrong about what you implied by your first post, if i am i am sorry. But hacking has brought many things to gaming and locked down devices in general where as piracy is just stealing and is of course wrong.
