Forums - Microsoft - Shadowrun an underrated game

My friend plays Shadowrun all the time. It's not my type of game, but I can see why he likes it.

Do people still play it online?

Try Gamefly for a month and get another one free!

It is enormously disconnected from what Shadowrun is about. That hurts it a bunch. I found it ok, but didn't feel it worth keeping.

if they would have called it magic battle or corp wars or anything else the shadowrun fan base wouldn't have been so up in arms about it. its shadowrun in name only. so if you are the kind of person that dislikes where capcom is going with devil may cry you can understand what the shadowrun fans have against it. all in all its a decent game but it was originally going to be more like shadowrun and have a campaign mode with rpg elements. the shadowrun communities followed it eagerly until they started showing it to be more counterstrike with magic than shadowrun.
if you want to see something closer to how it should have been try the shadowrun games for snes and genesis.

Title has an error it should be an underrated game, you use an before a word with a vowel, like a U

--Fear my grammer!!

But, really it deserves more attention underrated games make me sad.

What about "hour" and "user"?

Oh wait, you said "grammer". Sorry, didn't notice the sarcasm at first.

Mr. Miyagi would be proud I'm sure.

I remember enjoying the demo but for some reason I never purchased the game.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

well generally I have noticed that the more innovative a game the less the quality matters into the sales it's gonna make unless it's superhyped...... it tanks or takes time to pick up.....

most gamers don't like innovation and rather play an old formula with upgraded maps weapon story graphics..... but god forbide to do anything fundamentally new..... that's why that generation has a lot of quality games in very stale genre and concepts..... and few gems of innovation with not enough support to see a polished second edition or sequel..... a shame but then again it's OUR FAULT..... gamers are morrons since the dreamcast is dead and the PS is born....
