Why, did 360 ship LESS than PS3 in H2 2010?

No XBox 360 game REQUIRES an install. You can play just fine with a 4GB 360, so long as you don't download any map packs. If you do, you can always get a thumb drive. 8GB for $10. That makes 12GB total. I still use my 14GB model, and I have yet to max it out, and I have DLC for about a dozen games (but most of my DLC is disk based).

As for Call of Duty. If that's unfair, what online games are PS3 users playing? Killzone has about the same active users in a month as Halo Reach has in a day, and Call of Duty scales 3 to 1 for 360. I believe Call of Duty:Black Ops and Halo: Reach on 360 surpass all of PSN's active online users for a given month.

RRoD failrate was aproximatly 33%. YLoD was 10%. Don't spread BS, do your research.

Everyone knows this, everyone knows that. You're arguements are as thin as paper, and you call me biased. You make claims based on your own opinion and present it as fact.

Also 360 has more exclusives, go and count them on wiki if you must. there are over 100 exclusives on the 360 and something like 60 on the PS3. This is not including console exclusives which get a PC port. In fact, the 360 has released more exclusive games on an annual basis since the launc of the PS3. 2011 is the first year where the PS3 has more exclusives, don't try to make it appear as if it's always been this way. There are also more announce exclusives on the 360 for 2012 onward, so this may just be a 1 year thing.

I realize there is no debating with you. You have no reason to boost the claims you are making, and you make all your claims off your own opinion. Go look some of this stuff, and please tell me the titles MS isn't localizing in PAL. You said they localize the least games of the bunch, go and proove it!

Don't make claims without reason, and look up some of your more obviously wrong points (MS localizes less games, pfff).

Not true. 360 has sold more software on an annual basis every single year since PS3's launch (By 67.5%, 26%, 13.5%, and 4% in the last 4 years). PS3 is ahead of 360 in 2011 by 4%, but Microsoft tends to catch up in the holiday season. As for hardware, PS3 has only become ontop of 360 after 2009 when the Slim was released. If you ever read Mind the Gap by VGC, you will see that at different points in the consoles life 360 and PS3 have been alternating period of stronger sales. After the price cut before the PS3 Slim, 360 grew the gap to 8.1 million. Hardware sales fluctuate, and many analysts (including the ones this thread is based on), believe 360 and PS3 hardware sales for 2011 will be flat.

Just so you know, I definatly think PS3 has a decent chance at becoming second eventually. Just like the analysts this thread is based on, I don't think it will happen this year.

As for 2010 sales, 360 did marginally beat Sony on software, but for the second year in a row Sony beat MS in hardware. If you look back, you will see hardware sales have always fluctuated between the two consoles. Fall 2008-Fall 2009, Microsoft grew the lead from 5 to 8.1 million. Fall 2009-Summer 2010, Sony reduced the lead from 8.1 to 3.9 million.

Since last summer, the PS3 has managed to gain 400k more sales, that's nothing!

Anything can happen, who knows how this upcoming price cut will afftect the 360/PS3. However whatever the situation, 360 should be ontop in software, and if you agree with the analysts, hardware for both consoles should tie. So the gap might return to the 4 million range, which it's been the majority of the PS3's life.

Note: To your other post....I'm not argueing which is better, never was. How the heck did you interpret that? I was only correcting someone for stating that PS3 software sales is stronger then 360s. Jay gets it.
