well I will be picking up BF3(already have it pre-ordered) this will be my first Battlefield game, so they are attracting new costumers. actually looking forward to this more than MW3.

Only for now because BF3's pre-orders will fall a lot in the coming months compared to Black Ops.
BF3 won't even get close to Black ops or MW3 sales.
Atto Suggests...:
Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series
Game - Metro Last Light
TV - Deadwood
Music - Forest Swords

Besides I don't even look at VGC preorder numbers anymore along with other members. They just seem so off. Well actually proven to be off. |
They aren't basing it on VGC preorder numbers but actual feedback from local retailers ;)

BF3 will never match the popularity of MW3
i do hope however BF3 does extremly well and gives gamers a choice between the 2
i personally want BF3 to beat out MW3 but it wont happen
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...
It's totally normal... the game releases a few weeks earlier.
If one looks at VGC preorder charts you'll see a similar trend, they seem to have a better curve... but that's only because they are more advanced in the curve.
(example: I want xenoblade... but I thought it'd release in November, yet this weekend I saw it tagged as August 19th, so I directly preordered.... proximity of release date makes the preorder more urgent for day one buyers and thus the preorder curve goes up).

Yeah sounds about right from what I've seen, the difference however is of course that towards the end of COD's pre-order cycle it skyrockets due to the massive amount of casual consumers that there are for the COD franchise.
MW3 when all is said and done will be the best selling game of all time probably and Battlefield 2 will not match Black Op's numbers. That being said this will quite easily be the largest Battlefield game in history and I'll be shocked if it does under 6 million LT on the 360.
so the contender is close to becoming the camp.
BF3 is the better shooter anyway.
Battlefield 3 will sell 12 million copes across 3 platforms, a huge success for EA and DICE
Modern warfare 3 will sell 27 million copies at the end
Battlefield 3 will make 12 million copies at the end
