Welcome VGChartz to Comic Character Duelz. Comic fan or not this is where I match up famous (or not so famous) comic book characters together to duel eachother. I give you two characters with their stats, stengths, and weaknesses. you determine who would win in a fight pited against eachother based on stats and skills, not based on which character you prefer more.

Stats: Height: Between 8' and 9' is the currently accepted height by some writers. Variations have been seen. some variations in the past had him at 7'. Some say his height increases with his anger, but he has not been seen to go over 9' tall. Weight: between 900 and 1500 pounds has been discussed. Bio: Bruce Banner, a scientist had a transformed molecular structure through gamma radiation passed down by his father. He was working with gamma radiation when he tried to save someone from a gamma bomb exploding pumping Banner full of gamma rays, which morphed his already changed molecular structure.Now, when Banner's emotions take over he transforms into one of the most powerful beings in the universe, the Incredible Hulk. The more pissed off Hulk gets the stronger he becomes. At times he has stood toe to toe and even beaten some of the most powerful beings known in the universe. |
Stats: Height: 8'10" (variations have been noted such as 7' and larger) Weight: Between 650 to 1100 pounds has been discussed. Bio: Doomsday was created in the distant past on Krypton by aliens continuously cloning an infant and having him killed thousands of times by the most dangerous species in the universe and one of the harshest environments which was prehistoric Krypton. From this then the aliens would gather the infants remains and clone it as it would elove to becoming resistant to what killed him before. The amount of damage done to doomsday when killing him is determined on how much damage has been dealt to him. When killed by Superman he returned in a matter of days. When Imperiex reduced him to skeleton it took him months to return to life. It can also be noted he himself was able to kill superman in the comic series known as, "the death of superman". He has also stood toe to toe and beaten some of the most powerful beings in the DC universe. |

Powers/Abilities: Vast Super Human Strength: Capable of lifting in excess of 100+ tons. Also the angrier Hulk gets the stronger Hulk gets. The limits of his potential stength is not known and likely near limitless, however one can guess by some of the incredible feats he displayed in the World War Hulk series as well as elsewhere. In one instance The Hulk was able to hold up a mountain on his back weighing 150 billion tons. At one time Hulk managed to shatter a huge asteroid in outer space with a punch. has at one time supported the weight of continents during tectonic shifts. Has ripped Wolverine in half (mind you Wolverine's bones are coated in adimantium which is said to be the indestructable metal.) The phrase is widely used in the marvel universe, "hulk is strongest there is." Super Durability/Super Resistances: Heavy machine guns, rockets, turrets have been shot at him and have simply bounced off, or done no harm. His skin however can be penetrated as seen by Wolverine's adamantium claws, as well as some sharp objects emitting an intense amount of force. Hulk has also been seen surviving temps in the thousands of degrees as well as resistingtemps as low as 190 degrees below 0. Fast Regenerative Healing: Hulk has been known to possess fast regenerative healing even faster than wolverine. Wolverine has been seen slashing the hulk numerous times, and all the wounds healed within short periods of time. He has also survived a super nova blast from the human torch, which only made him angrier. Also as Hulk gets angrier so does his rate of regenerative healing and durability, along with all his abilities. Super Human Stamina: The hulk is very resistant to fatigue. His muscles counteract any form of fatigue poinsons and so is capable of fighting for extended periods of time without tiring. He is capable of fighting for days. However the angrier he gets the more resistant to fatigue he becomes. Super Human Leaping: The Hulk can be seen leaping miles in one single jump due to his powerful legs. At one time he nearly leaped from earth to space. Super Human Speed: This can go unnoticed by some but Hulk has been seen running at speeds slightly faster than the speed of sound. His reflexes can also be faster than the average human as he has been able to catch mortar shells. Thunder Clap: Hulk often does this move exerting a very powerful concussive wave that has knocked back various opponents, deafen people and even caused fires to be snuffed out. Adaptive Resistances: Hulk has been able to breathe underwater as well as survive in the vacuum of space just by adapting himself to it. It has been shown that Hulk has the ability to adapt to any hostile environment. Hulk was also able to walk inside the core of a planet that is thousands of degrees and not be harmed. Mental Abilities/Resistances: Hulk has at times show he is able to resist different forms of mind control. This has been said mostly because the Hulk possesses multiple personalities in his mind and one cannot have the ability to control all personallities at once. Hulk also has the ability to see astral spirits and forms. Weaknesses: Hulks main weakness is that if he potentially calms down he will usually revert back to his human form, however recently it seems Banner can sometimes control when he transforms to and from. Also depending on what version of Hulk is present, the Savage Hulk while one of the most powerful forms does possess a basic instincts mind with low intelligence. However if it is World War Hulk then he has high intelligence and also the most powerful version of Hulk being able to possess an even greater base strength level. |
Powers/Abilities: Vast Super Human Strength: Capable of lifting in excess of 100+ tons. the exact strength of Doomsday is unkown, and may be near limitless. He has been able to tear through reinforced steel with ease, break through imprenetrable barriers, Lift escessively heavy objects, and demolish huge heavy buildings. He was aslo able to cause superman to bleed with his punches and eventually even kill superman, which is a feat in and of itself. Doomsday has also displayed incredible feats such as standing his ground with the Justice League all at once. He even managed to break Superman's left arm with limited effort. As well as outmatch and defeat Darkseid. He does however seem to have some limits as the immensly strong Calatonian cables were able to partially restrain him for a period of time on his initial rampage of earth. It is said that Doomsday possesses the strength of Superman and possibly more. Super Human Durability: Doomsday can withstand heavy machine gun bullets, rockets, bombs, and the like. The only known beings capable of harming him are beings such as Superman, Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, and similar powerful beings. Fast Regenerative Healing: Doomsday has been known to heal from injuries within moments. Super Human Stamina: Doomsday has been known to fight continuously in a battle for long periods of time. A battle also depends on the amount of energy he has to use. When fighting Superman he was weakend faster than when fighting a potentially weaker superhero. Doomsday is said to also obtain much of his stamina from the yellow sun. Over a long period of time and with no exposure to the sun for long periods of time he will become weakend easier when battling. However, he has been known to obsorb the suns energy and for it to sustain him for a very long time. Super Human Speed: Doomsday is capable of moving faster than humanly possible with fast reflexes, however he cannot come close to matching the speed of Superman or Flash for that matter. Super Leaping: Doomsday is capable of leaping miles at a time due to his powerful legs. Adaptive Resistances: Doomsday has been known to adapt and develop resistances to effects during battle. For instance Once superman used a sound gun to paralize doomsday. However, he eventually was able to close his auditory canals making him impervious to the weapon. Also he is resistance to heat, and cold. He is also been seen to adapt to opponents during battles such as when Radiant, a being of pure energy, was battling with him he was able to develop an aura of energy around himself and slammed into Radiant. Doomsday also has very hard bone protrusions coming out of his skin that offer more protection from damage and are also used as weapons. Doomsday also does not require air, or food to sustain himself. Weaknesses: Doomsday has few weaknesses due to his evolutionary adaptive ability. One weakness is that it does appear he does need some form of energy such as the yellow sun to sustain him at peak power level. However, if not in an intense battle he can use what energy he has absorbed to sustain himself for a very very long time. But, even Superman gave everything he had to drain Doomsday. I do not know if he possesses resistance to mind control, but one could assume if he is able to adapt then he could potentially adapt to resist mind control. |
Well, I think this battle would likely end in the destruction of an entire planet! This battle would be intense and incredible. So who do you guys think has the edge here? Both of these behemoths have accomplished incredible feats. Doomsday has stood his ground with the Justice League, and even killed Superman on one occasion. The Incredible Hulk has taken on the Avengers team, the combined might of very powerful heroes, and even beaten some of the most powerful super heroes in the universe. Both are very well matched. The X factor for the Hulk is that as long as he continually gets more angry in a fight he will continually get stronger and more powerful. The X factor for Doomsday is that he has an incredible adapting ability during battles to counter what his opponent is doing. I think both have roughly the same level of durability, speed, and healing factor. I honestly think this battle could go either way, but a winner has to be declared.
Overall Winner: Incredible Hulk
I think what did it for me is the Rage factor of the Hulk. There have been some incredible things he has done based on what his anger allowed him to do. He has defied what was thought impossible. The same can be said about Doomsday of course especially if he was able to kill Superman. But the continually increasing power of Hulk and rage I think may give the Hulk an Edge. If Superman was able to eventually hurt Doomsday then no doubt Hulk could do the same.
