Forums - Movies & TV - So what will happen to the best animated movie? (Accademy Awards)

Pixar has been one of the biggest, better, most amazing animation studios ever, after making 4 huge hits in a row, all of them beautiful, emotional, and exciting, two of them being in my personal favorite movies of all time, they made well... trash.

Cars 2 was a critical bomb and the biggest Pixar dissapointment ever, I'll not lie here, it sucked horribly, so, since Pixar is outta the race, literally, and they are always default winners:

What movie will make the honours this year?

Pretty hard to say. Honestly, this year looks to be the weakest for animated movies since 2006 (ironically, the year Cars came out, so I think that it simply jinxes everything). The lineup will probably reflect the quality of the animations released this year, in other words it will be boring and suck. I think that some indie European animation that we haven't even heard about so far will end up winning.

"I don't understand how someone could like Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky, but not like Twilight!!!"

"Last book I read was Brokeback Mountain, I just don't have the patience for them unless it's softcore porn."

"If you cant stand the sound of your own voice than dont become a singer !!!!!"

Kung Fu Panda 2 is my favorite animated film this year.

I would say maybe Transformers 3?

Though it also seems to be quite bad quality.

I would have thought that all the live action actors would disqualify it....

Maybe animated actors would have been less stiff in the series.

I just saw Rango earlier, and I can say it is my favorite animated movie of the year so far. It somewhat felt like Pixar made it.
