Nope, I had a modern FPS partisan war up and piddle on my shoes, with BF3 partisans leaving more of the piddle at this point.  If you have checked my posting patterns, I have fragged the Call of Duty franchise in the past also, questioning if anyone thought MW2 has a good storyline and so on.

They use a modified quake 3 engine. They use a game engine from 1999. Nuff' said.

Unless they pull server support, because they have a newer  version of the game out you mean?  Good luck playing the Lord of the Rings games on the Battlefront engine online now.

Well, they have two teams alternating years between releases, so I have no idea what Infinity Ward had done as far as revamping the engine.  Usually they come up with new engines and Tryarch ends up using it. 

Anywho, I am informed Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrad is for REAL men, so that means both these titles are for wusses.  Well, Red Orchestra 2 isn't out on consoles, so I guess it can't be too real.

everyone knows GoW 3 will be the best shooter this year.

I figured I might as well.  I am just getting tired of FPS genre being all made the same between all the major titles.  The differences are minor, and the battle is over the who would be the possessor of the same form.  I posted another thread asking what sets BF3 apart from MW3, and worth getting on its own right, and the strongest argument was the Frostbite engine.  That is it.  It is like people want to hate on the Call of Duty franchise, just because are popular, and end up rooting for another title that, like BF3, just because it isn't Call of Duty.  

So, anyhow, hope other stuff catches on here, more realistic or at least DIFFERENT.  I think when it comes down to people saying one over the other, then there isn't enough to differentiate the two.

haha yeah I saw that when it was first discovered. It doesn't bother me at all though, and I found it somewhat humorous that someone went to such great lengths. I've played a few of the CoD games and I don't really care much for them, so this didn't tweak me out at all. I see where the anger is coming from thuogh. If someone were to make a bashing site about one of my favorite franchises, I would probably get tweaked as well.

You don't seem to care much about CoD though, so I don't know why this is bothering you so much. Yes it's obnoxious, but it has nothing to do with EA as far as we know, and I don't really see what the big deal is. There are raving fans on both sides, you just need to ignore the extreme ones and move along.
