Forums - Nintendo - So, I have Twilight Princess. And I have no will to play it at all.

What you should do with the game is...

Just keep playing it, it get's better 66 55.00%

Trow it away, it is the s... 17 14.17%

I don't know lol 8 6.67%

I rather play Ocarina of Time 3D 8 6.67%

Burn it to the ground, burn it! 3 2.50%

I don't want not to see the poll results 18 15.00%

Total:120

I remember feeling that it dragged too long and felt too typical overall.  And that was sad because, by all intents and purposes, its a very well designed and executed game with many fantastic elements.  But there were 3 elements that likely affected things in a major way for me:

1) I just recently got laid off (for the 1st and only time) and I was a bit bitter.

2) I had played Kameo the year prior and the graphics and especially music of that made TTP seem REALLY antiquated in those ways.  Can't even imagine how it'd be now.  Plus TWW's brilliantly timeless visual design made this feel like quite the step back.

3) I also had just finished Bully before playing it, so maybe I was a bit fatigued by adventure gaming and should've played a buffer game or two.

Keep playing.  But if after about 25 hours you still feel the same, it's likely not going to get better.  Though personally I felt somewhat reinvigorated at the section where THE BEST AND MOST POPULAR MUSIC TRACK OF THE GAME BAR NONE colored the atmosphere in a compelling way ...

killeryoshis said some epic things

Actually, I think each Zelda story is pretty good and can stand on its own.

-In Twilight Princess, Zelda hasn't been kidnapped (yet).  She's just presiding over the Twilight World.  I really can't remember anything about the story anymore, though.  It's a shame and a blessing that I don't remember it because it seems quite epic so far.

-In Wind Waker, Zelda was actually *SPOLIER* Tetra the pirate.  Hyrule was flooded and, again, the story was quite unique.

-In Majora's Mask, the story was quite deep and involved the Skull Kid, and the moon crashing to earth.  No Zelda at all (as far as I can remember)

-Ocarina of Time, Link traveled back and forth in time trying to assemble some mages to take out Ganon.  Zelda was actually *SPOILER* Sheik the whole time.

-Link to the Past, Zelda did eventually get kidnapped but that wasn't really the point of the story.  It was about saving the light world by taking Ganon out in the dark world.

-Minish Cap, Oracle of Time/Seasons, etc., I either didn't play or only have a vague recollection of their story.  Still, the Zelda stories are pretty diverse and pretty epic.  We just seem to forget them (or I do) because we focus so much on the gameplay and the dungeons.

I feel pathetic for not knowing any of those stories -_- I really forgot my zelda games. Majora's Mask also has no Zelda. The rest does have zelda kidnapped just not right away. The zelda stories are interesting when you first play em since they never feel like the same thing for too long

At first I thought this was gonna be a negative review with the graphics and sound and all. Though I just remebered that those are the only things that age. Also Zelda has the same story as mario just it add more.  Zelda should get better guards

There's only one Peach, but there are probably dozens of Zeldas spanning over the course of several centuries.

Still you would think Zelda(Who clearly can defend herself more the Peach can do better) can atleast run -_-

Don't bother with it. The world will start to open up after the first dungeon, but other than that the core gameplay skeleton will remain the same.

Btw, your spelling is atrocious which is probably the fault of a broken keyboard. That's one hell of a strange "c" you put into the word "clast".

Is there a game you actually enjoy playing at all?

I completed it today and it's definitely a great game. The ending was lame but I'll get over it. I'm more ready than ever to get a more cinematic experience with the Zelda franchise and Twilight Princess made me realize it. It feels very old and it feels dead at times. I want voice overs (maybe not for Link though).

I also want a different story this time. It's just annoying to always know how it's going to end.

Running is never really a viable option for Zelda, because Ganon can sense the Triforce of Wisdom, for example.

IN orcarina of time she didn't have that problem

I know exactly how you feel...I have a rather large amount of games that I have no will to play even though I know they are good.

There's a difference between objectively good and subjectively good. If you have no will to play an objectively good game, then it is most certainly a subjectively bad game, because you simply despise certain aspects of it.

Actually no I think they are really fun games but if I play a game for a while and don't play for about a week or so I lose all interest in playing it.

In fact I find myself only playing Halo Reach MP, Rock Band 3 and Windows phone games these days. Everything else gets about an hours worth of playtime and never gets played again.
