Gears Of War for me had a better campain and its co-op I found more fun than Resistance.
With the multiplayer side of it i would say i had fun with both of them but I prefered Gears overall.

I wanna get this done a bit more quickly so I will be changing this every morning (Eastern Standard time aka Toronto, Ontario) for all the VGC users who live in Canada they should know the time. And for the rest of the world Toronto runs the same time as New York.
That's quite a tough one. Uncharted was a great game, but Mass Effect is one of the best RPGs I've ever played.
I would say I prefer Mass Effect.
The choice between their sequels would be even more difficult :/
I warned them what would happen if we gave people the power to change thread titles but they wouldn't listen. They wouldn't listen........
Anyway, my vote is for Mass Effect (if it were Uncharted 2, I'd have voted for that one, easily). Uncharted was the second PS3 game I bought because I wanted to show off the power of my new console. I know it's sacrilegious but Metal Gear Solid 4 didn't do that for me. While Uncharted looked good, it boiled down to fire fight after fire fight against a horde of brain dead enemies (I don't care what those videos said at the time about how smart the enemies were--those guys were idiots!) that took far too many shots to kill. I eventually resorted to running towards them while shooting until I was able to melee them to death. Needless to say, Uncharted 1 was a beautiful looking/sounding/playing game that got bogged down by last gen game design and pacing. It may as well have been called Max Payne or Syphon Filter: Jungle Edition.
On the other hand, Mass Effect was a glitch filled mess with a terrible inventory system and a week cover-based fighting system, too. Still, the game was more than the sum of its parts. It featured an engaging story and a great cast. I found myself staying up late at night to play it whereas, in Uncharted, I found myself forcing myself to finish it just to justify the purchase. I've re-played Mass Effect probably three times. I finished Uncharted once and only went back to play it again because Leo-J said it looked better than every 360 game, ever. So, like I said, my vote is for Mass Effect.
And what's the big idea pitting what is supposed to be an RPG vs a TPS/Adventure game?
Mass Effect: 9.1
Uncharted: 8.0
Well, I shan't be visiting this thread again. I don't like the whole PS3 vs. 360 thing, anymore. It's just not exciting in this day and age. Peace out.
Uncharted for me. I really like Mass Effect 2 but found 1 to be very rough around the edges and way overrated by the critics in general (classic scenario of overlooking a heap of clear flaws).
Uncharted DF has a fun, good story and solid mechanics all around. It's flaws were an over-reliance on combat in some sections and an over-abundance of the same foe to kill in droves, plus too obvious a split between shooting vs climbing sections. The character models and graphics were stellar with only some screen tear as an issue. Vehicles were solid although they did bork the jet-ski controls a bit.
Mass Effect has a good, deep story and world, but the mechanics I found average across the board. The combat was weak (actually, given the focus on TPS combat it was terrible next to DF and Gears both out around the same time), the levels rough around the edges (particularly the filler side mission levels) and the menu and item management was awful. Character models were good but the rest of the graphics were pretty average and rough around the edges.
Both franchises hit their stride with number 2 but for me DF was somewhat underrated vs its achievements on release and Mass Effect overrated and its flaws often ignored so I'm going with DF.
BTW the poll time seems short now. I was going to go with Gears after some mulling previously but the poll was gone before I could get back to it. SMaybe it was just the way the timing fell but the poll seemed to open then close very quickly.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
Uncharted. No lie but while playing I actually felt like I was in the action.

Uncharted Vs. Mass Effect. I vote Mass Effect. Uncharted 1 I found to be very glitchy, and unpolished. Good game, but nothing special, Uncharted 2 was a massive improvement. Mass Effect was really good. Nothing amazing, but the experience was very emersing, and it was very polished. However the story felt as if it was missing something. Mass Effect 2 was also a massive improvement.
For the future
Uncharted 2 vs. Mass Effect 2?
I know it's not a 360 exclusive anymore, but it's still a franchise strongly favored by 360 fans, and ME2 on 360 is different from ME2 on PS3 (different engine, ability to import saves, etc).
Also another good one
Lost Odyssey vs. Valkeria Chronicles (Two best JRPG's this gen) PLZ!!!!! DO THIS ONE!!! My favorite PS3 game vs, the best import on 360.
Tales of Vesperia vs. Folklore
Too Human vs. Lair???
