Nintendo's systems will fall the most because they have the farthest to fall, but

I suspect the 360 will show a bigger than normal drop in anticipation of a price drop.

Its the PS3 that I expect to be hardest hit. Yes the prices are now substantially lower than at launch, but $400-500 is a still a hefty ticket when you're paying holiday bills. Add in the lack of a "killer app" title (so far - GA4 is of course on the horizon), and I'd say the PS3 is the most likely to drop off into "dangerous" levels.

I think it would be more interesting to talk about software sales crash. It's not really fair to the wii considering the hardware is supply constrained and will likely crash from Nintendo speeding up shipping to obtain December numbers causing a crash in January...

I see the Ps3 having spent its reserve of demand over the holidays to dangerous levels. The 360 will do well enough considering its game library. And the Wii will be completely decided by product availability.

Keep in mind that every single Wii that gamestop gets during january is already sold due to the reserve promotion. Gamestop wont have wii's for the genreal public until February. The DS is sold out at most gamestops and people keep asking for it so i don't think that demand will drop too much just yet. The demand for ds probably wont drop significantly until february. I think the ps3 will drop the most since i would imagine most people wont want to spend $400+ on a system right after the holiday buying period

Pre-ordered Wiis and DSs won't be counted until they're shipped and gotten by the customer though.

All the pre orders are garuanteed to arrive by the 28th i think so as long as they are picked up (which i'm sure they will since they were paid in full) they'll count for January sales.

Either way its really a supply issue. Demand is still there and if an infinite amount of Wiis were available in January I'm sure January would have more Wii sales than december

I say X360 will drop hardest followed by the wii.

I do not expect ps3 sales to drop below the 150k weekly in january.

ya the 360 will fall pretty fast in europe and will be back down to their 2k-3k a week in japan. wii to maybe just because it has the farthest to drop and i dont know how much stock is available after last weeks wii xplosion.

ps3 i honestly dont know what to expect.

Percentages wise, all but Wii should see traditional drops. Meaning they should all be about the same. But Wii it'll probably drop more due to traditional shipments after holidays not happening in Europe/Other and the Americas.
