exactly! jay summed it up well in another thread, Uncharted 3 beta is the ultimate anti camping Mp experience..it's just cant be done..and exploration and team work are awarded nicely.

also (and I was thinking of making a thread on this) power plays are a brilliant idea. when they first talked about it I was worried thinking it might take the fun out of the game but it's the opposite. now less and less people are leaving mid game and it just increases the intensity of the gameplay for both sides...


didn't play beta, beta's aren't my bag.  but interest piqued.  explain and/or link to explination?

Essentially, if another team is down say ~10 kills, the game will iniate a powerplay in their favor. So they may have double bullet damage, or a specific member of the opposing team may be marked, and that team will have to defend them, making it easier to get kills for the down team, or also your team locations can be exposed. These last for a short period of time, and also the team who has the powerplay against them also gets double exp for every kill conducted during that time period, so theres benefits for having the powerplay both for, and against you.

that is a pretty good idea.  sucks getting into a lopsided game in kz so hopefully this will keep things even.

It balances extrodinarily well IMO, just depends on the varying level of skill between the teams. I've seen teams close gaps very fast in Powerplay situations. At the same time, usually when powerplays are against me, I usually still rack up just as many kills on average, soaking up the double xp, which is nice.

I LOVE Powerplays haha, but that damn Double Bullet damage is brutal. I was playing last night for quite some time, finally nabbed the "Creepy Crawlers" kickback, man is that thing brutally awesome.

Speaking of which, wanna play a few rounds? I happen to be existentially bored at the moment and could go for some Uncharted 3 Carnage.

exactly! in kz3 sometimes you spawn into a game where your teams base is surrounded by the other team and you can't even step out! Powerplays takes care of that completely. it's very balanced too and makes games much more fun...and very intense at times...

for example when you are the marked man imho it's much more intense than the kz3 assassination target phase. the music really helps too

Will do, I'll be playing oodles tonight I'm sure! haha

And when we play, I'll let you know when I activate it, its a pain though considering you need 17 medals to activate. But once activated, pure carnage! haha

And there is actually a similar kickback to "The Cursed One", where when activated, anyone nearby cannot discern enemies from friends as all the name tags and arrows above characters are completely removed. I've seen 3 people on the same team frantically shooting each other before, its hilarious.

Well I can see preoders are really gonna be increasing as I preorderd one copy myself and many of my mates did too since the beta was epic! All the people here have a positive feedback I can assure you guys that high sales will be incoming!

It was intially looking to outsell Modern Warfare 2 (PS3) but due to almost no launch hype this game couldn't do more than 900k week one in Americas :(

But if Uncharted 3 gets good hype than it can easily outsell God of War 3 in Americas and open with larger than 1 million in week one in Americas :)

You do realize, most people do not play Uncharted for it's online multiplayer, so the beta will not change pre-orders much.

Also Gamestop only recently started taking in Pre-orders for Black Ops, week 18 BO will be above Uncharted 3.

Yeah but with the Uncharted 3 beta being so good and having pretty good impressions and also the fact that it is free to everyone.

I think you are a bit confused. Since Black ops has been out for a while we already know all the pre orders the game has.  Although I don't expect Uncharted 3 to track ahead of Black Ops in the end I'm pretty sure it will have a lead for a little while.

That article isn't very accurate. The beta has gotten a bit of a mix review. Personally, I like all the additions but that's just me. I'm not too worried though, ND has a lot of time to work with after beta, I'm sure they will make the right decisions.
