Unhcharted 3 doesn't even look as good as Gears 3 does.

But I feel ya on KZ3 that game was gorgeous especially the jungle level, one of the most breathtaking environments I've seen on consoles.  That being said RAGE does look amazing and could be better looking I'll have to wait to play it to make a final judgement though, but honestly right now Gears 3 is the best looking game I think I've played.  The character models are second to none.

My concern with Rage is what I would call the Doom 3 problem ...

Doom 3 was a beautiful game that really did push existing technology close to its limits, but it was a really mediocre game because the gameplay elements seemed really outdated.

Honestly I'm not too interested in how it looks, but in how it plays. Here's to hoping that the game mechanics are good!

Is this a rail shooter? Because Rage on the iPhone is a rail shooter...

screen shots may look good but from the video i watch not too long ago i was too jarred by some terrible animations to notice the graphics. frisbee boomerang thing, i'm looking at you.

in the end ucharted 3 will look vastly surperior to gears 1 is just a finished game while the other obviously isn't

I think you're comparing the mp beta here...the single player footage we saw at E3 looks WAY better than Gears SP....let's wait until the games are out but I would even take a bet with you that it will look much better than Gears 3 :)

i agree with his assessment , rage looks outstanding. john carmack knows his tech and is definitely one guy in the video game industry who i listen to when he says stuff like this.

None of those game run 60 FPS or as opened area as Rage..think about that.
