Forums - General - Have you ever cried playing a video game. :)

I don't think I've ever cried playing a game, but I have gotten pretty darn emotional during some... A couple that have managed to get me worked up are Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Shadow of the Colossus, and Final Fantasy VI.

I think maybe MGS4 and God of War 3. They were the two most epic stories in video game history I have ever faced. Although Halo Reach and Halo 3 was pretty epic too. It didn't make me cry.

The end of God of War: Ghost of Sparta made me almost cry. So did a scene from Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and when the horse dies in Shadow of the Colossus. I believe some parts of Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IX also made me tear up a little.

Cant wait to play Ghost of Sparta on the PS3. :)

If you've not already played it, you definately should. It's a great game that definately lives up to the quality of the home console titles (though it may not seem as impressive if you don't play it on the PSP).

I can't wait bro. I heard the remakes of HD Remake of Ghost of Sparta actually look betters than the PS2 HD Remakes. They really had to push the PSP to make that game look beautiful

Yep, they sure did. I was quite impressed with it when I played it. Really impressive for a handheld hame. I'm currently playing Chains of Olympus, but it's graphics are less impressive by comparison.

I broke down and cried when started playing Mario 2 back on my NES. It was such a departure from the original AMAZING Mario Bros I was disappointed & started crying. Luckily nintendo redeemed themselves with the SUBERB super mario bros 3...best mario game since Galaxy

well........for me,i didn't really cry but had tears in my eyes when i played Heavenly Sward....the Ending scene really moved me:'( & Heavy Rain.

I can't say i've sat the balling but i have to say FFX had me welling up alittle! i think circumstances at the time i was playing it had alittle influence on that though.

Almost cried: Metal Gear Solid 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, Red Dead Redemption and Final Fantasy VII

Cried: Final Fantasy XIII, Metal Gear Solid

Cried like a bitch: Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII

So basically, my list is made up mostly of Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy games which I found very emotional. But none of them are on the same scale as Crisis Core. I don't know hell the hell Square Enix did it but the game was emotional all the way through, it just built you up the entire game and broke your heart at the end. That game is a masterpiece for its story alone.

Final Fantasy: Crisis Core definitely! such a sad ending!! only game ive ever cried in..
