Forums - Gaming - Better than GTAIV, Resident Evil and Heavy Rain?

Well, at least this is one of the best written gaming articles I've read recently:

"[...] I want you to discover this utterly marvellous, clever, witty, warm, affecting game for yourself. So I implore you, do so."

http://www.gamesradar.com/f/love-gta-heavy-rain-and-resident-evil-well-deadly-premonition-is-better-than-all-of-them-heres-why/a-2011062815478124075

If nothing else, it's encouraging to read someone else who believes that games do not have to feature the exact same "modern" and "innovative" gameplay to be good.

I actually read that article just yesterday and i have to say that it has got me interested in the game. From what i have read the DP game npcs are much more involved and interesting with set habits and personality than is the case with normal sandbox games a la GTA/Infamous. The main characters themselves seemed a bit cliched but i guess i will take the authors word that they are more than stereotypes. Overall seems worth a try. Sadly its not on ps3 so far. fingers crossed we get it in near future.

The Japanese version has English audio.

Sure it is, and I have the platinum trophy to prove it!

OT: It really is an incredible... experience. I can't say "game" because all of the gameplay is straight garbage, but the fact that it's still one of my favorite games things this generation speaks volumes about how good the rest of it is (even if the plot kinda takes a nosedive in the closing chapters).

Hello, I am susan and I am new here. Nice to meet you.
