Forums - Microsoft - Summer of Arcade includes free game XBLA, game dates and prices confirmed

SoA (not Sony of America, silly!) always has some of the best games of the year. From Castle Crashers to Braid to Splosion Man, Limbo, and Shadow Complex. This year should be no different......except I don’t know any of the games besides Fruit Ninja.

Also, I JUST realized that Shadow Complex could actually mean the place you're infiltrating in the game and not a mental disorder. I'm not even joking.

Before SoA we will get Boulder Dash XL and Ms SplosionMan. And After SoA Crismon Alliance.

Boulder Dash XL + Ms SplosionMan + Bastion + Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet + Crismon Alliance = MASSIVE :)

I love how some people already tag the kinect game as the weak spot.... I actually think it's the one I'll end play the most or at least the longer..... I'm sure by this time next year I'll still play it every now and then......

people should stop whinening like babies at kinect.... just give it a try.... yeah it's not virtual reality, with crazy augmented vision and full body controll.... we all know that.... doesn't mean it can't be funny and cool to play alone or with friends....

I mean if you had just a bit of fun with Wii sport at friend house when it first came out there is no way that you won't enjoy anything about kinect unless you like to lie to yourself......

the key word is FUN here... not impressive gameplay and storyline and graphics. FUN FOR GOD SAKE....

one of my fav game last generation was kun fu chaos.... that game was just so fun to play and play again and again and it wasn't a AAAAAAA game.... it was just FUN to play with my peeps....

ok beside that... nice line up... looking forward to try them all and probably will buy a couple if they turn out to be FUN

For me atleast it is the fact that it is Fruit Ninja that I am generally not interested in it, not that it is a Kinect game... the truth is that it just doesn't add upto the standards of the 'Summer of Arcade' the whole purpose of which is to demonstrate the very best of content available on XBLA.

And yes Kung Fu Chaos was a true gem of a game.

I first saw 'Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet' about a year or so ago and find it amazing that all the animation is hand drawn at 60FPS by one person, barring it seems the U.F.O. which looks to be a 3D model. And have been Craving From Dust since it was first announced. I love the look and style of Bastion and simply can't wait to play those three in particular.

It is rather a very weak summer of arcade this year;..but I forgive them because we get tomorrow half minute hero, and MS. splosion man and Trials Evolution are also comming soon.

There are so many great XBLA games releasing this Summer it's redicules. We got Summer of arcade lineup, Trenched just released, Half-minute Hero, Mrs. Splosion Man, Street Fighter 3, Crimson Alliance, Boulder Dash, Guardian Heroes, Trails Evolution, etc. Sooo many games!!!

Still waiting for my Castle Crashers 2...

I'm just waiting for them to release the Pink Knight for the original Castle Crashers on Xbox 360. :)

"But I don't want to go among mad people!" said Alice. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat. "We're all mad here."

O snap, From Dust releases on my birthday.

I know this isn't a 'Summer of Arcade' game, but I saw that there's some Kinect chatter going on here.
