i thought i would have 3 or 4, but looking at people's replies i kept thinking "ooh! and that one too...". man, i got uncharted 3, resistance 3, BF 3, arkham city, twisted metal, dark souls, assassins creed revelations. and those are the ones i can remember. although, when the time comes, i might skip on a game or 2 due to lack of time to play them.

Games I will buy this year no matter if the world is blowing up!:

- Elder Scrolls Skyrim

- Modern Warfare 3

- Kinect Sports Season 2

- Halo Anniversary Edition

Games I will likely end up buying:

- Gears of War 3

- Kinect Star Wars

- Dance Central 2 (influenced by my wife) :)

Games that I would love to buy but will end up waiting due to not enough time to play them this year:

- Forza 4 (Haven't even finished Forza 3 yet!)

- Battlefield 3

- Batman Arkham City (Still need to finish Arkham Asylum)

- Ghost Recon Future Soldier (not even sure when this is coming out)

- Saints Row the Third

Games that I might get eventually (likely next year) that look interesting:

- Resident Evil 4 HD

- Dead Island

- Captain America Super Soldier

- Power Up Heroes

- Rage

Games that are already out but in my backlog to purchase at some point:

- Starcraft 2

- Child of Eden

- Fallout New Vegas

- LA Noire

- Red Faction: Armageddon

- Left 4 Dead 2

-Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale

- Torchlight

Im sure Im forgetting others.

This is going to be the first year in a while that my backlog really takes a tole on my planned purchases. I'm only picking up Catherine, Uncharted 3, Dark Souls, and maybe Skyward Sword and Skyrim. The list gets a bit longer with Wiiware and PSN, La Mulana and Journey.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

Games I'll be buying on Day 1 and for SURE this year.

- Elder Scrolls Skyrim
- Gears of War 3
- Battlefield 3
- Call of Duty MW3
- Halo CEA
- Forza 4
- Assassins Creed Revalations

The games that I'm interestede in but might not make the cut till next year are

- Uncharted 3
- Twisted Metal
- Rage
- Batman Arkum City
- Dance Central 2
- Kinect Sports Season 2

So overall fantastic looking year and I'll be for sure buying on launch day 7 titles, with several others I'm keeping my eye on. When all is said and done however it'll probably be somewhere around 9-10.

TES: Skyrim, AC Revelations, maybe Battlefield 3 and Zelda, still have to buy the first two Uncharted games, so I'd say three of four. I'm gaming less and less as I grow older, so yeah, it's a good year by my standards. Pity ME3 isn't coming this year.

Batman AA, Uncharted 3, Zelda, Mario Kart 3DS and Mario 3DS are must buys. I might get Skyrim just to see what the fuss is about, and I keep seeing conflicting info about Luigi's Mansion 2, but if that's released this year, I'll get that. Dead Island is also a possibility if it turns out it doesn't suck.

The only digital game I'm anticipating is Trine 2, but others may pop up out of nowhere to surprise me.

So that's 6 definite purchases, plus 3 other maybes so far.

Wii:
Zelda: Skyward Sword
Kirby Wii

3DS:
Kid Icarus
Metal Gear Solid 3D
Super Mario 3D

DS:
Kirby Mass Attack

I'll pick up a few older games for cheap I'm sure

a LOT

I'll probably get one or two new releases: Assassin's Creed: Revelations and/or Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Classics HD. Already released games like Dynasty Warriors 7 and Gran Turismo 5 are also possibilities. Of course all this depends greatly on whether I can get my PS3's Blu-ray capabilities fixed by the end of the year (I'm kinda lazy with it). If there's great Steam sales for games like Total War: Shogun 2 or Civilization V (less than 10€), I'm somewhat likely to get them. I'll also probably buy a few dirt cheap games but I didn't really count them in my answer as they are... well, dirt cheap and probably pretty old.

To put it short, I'm most likely getting one or two games that aren't super cheap. I have neither the money nor the time to buy much more.

EDIT: Uncharted 3 is also a rather interesting game, however I don't think I'm getting it this year unless it drops in price.
