theres no way gow3 will out meta it just like theres no way CODMW3 and BF3 wont fail with there reviews and sales as most want them to cause there FPS, there are several reasons for this, one main one is that uncharted series can appeal to a much broader audience as its not only a TPS most reviewers arent hardcore games

your not going to get many bites cause its you who is not the high ranking member with no sig or avy pic, theres not much for the high ranking posters to gain by winning the bet

my personal opinion though after experiencing the huge directional changes from uncharted 1 to 2 is that for myself gears would be a more satisfying game as i enjoy more gun play during a game

@ dr grass your going to be in for a treat with U3 if you are that impressed with 2

I'm sure the single player will (once again) push boundaries. With regards to the multiplayer, we're hearing how much ND is pushing the envelope, and I'm looking forward to it very much, but somehow the style of the game doesn't seem to suit online gunning as much as Gears.

I see Homer hasn't replied for a while even though he's online. You chicken Homey?

For a second I thought you were on my psn friends list because I actually was just playing Uncharted 2 online. I'm never scared lol :P. You are going down!

Just to clarify, if Gears of War 3 has a higer metacritic score than Uncharted 3, I will own your signature for 30 years. Once you agree to this, there is no backing down. It would be hilarious if it was a tie. :P

I see you're currently playing Uncharted 2. You must be quaking in your boots

Seriously though, where are you in the game?

Something really SHITTY happened to me while playing:

I had a save game file at the final boss battle for ages not being able to do it on hard (I completed it on Normal). Then, just yesterday, I tried again and managed to kill Lazarovic (too lazy to check spelling) the fifth time or so. THEN, to my HORROR it still only said 'completed on normal' because I didn't create another save game file at that point (I said cancel before started playing assuming that it wouldn't matter if I beat Lazarovic).

I WAS SO FUCKING PISSED OFF.

THEN, I tried again and overwrote another save file. I managed to kill him the 3rd time or so on hard, and felt pretty good. Again the trophy didn't appear and I was a little perplexed. Then I went to chapter select and AGONIZINGLY A.L.L the chapters were only 'completed on normal'. I overwrote the important save file. Again, I assumed this couldn't happen.

So I had no choice and started playing from the beginning again. I managed to get to the part where Lazarovic's men attack the Tibetan village in the mountains.

What makes this story special is that I'm writing my final exam for Quantum Mechanics tomorrow and I spent the time playing Uncharted instead of studying. Now, the night before, I spend my time writing about it. God, when will I learn...

I platinumed the game so I have done EVERYTHING :P.

I also agree that we should put the bet in our signatures until I win...

Ok so the bet is finalized.

Please post what we should put in our sigs

Good to see someone who loves Uncharted giving respect to Gears and having faith.

You're not going to win though...

Uh. How about we just say that we made a bet with the each other and tell what the bet was for. Then I guess we could link it too this page if you want. Really anything is ok lol.

what happens when you loose to multiple people? they gotta share ur sig?

Wow I'm suprised Dr.Grass actually took you up on this bet. He's the highest profile member your going to get I guarantee that. Like Mr.Bubbles said Homer your asking someone to give up their sig for thirty years, and you with very little rep, no avatar and not as many fans/followers are going to ask a bigger higher profile member to take you up on such a radiculous bet.

Now I have my own opinion on who will win. But I just lost a bet to a fellow member and giving him my sig is bad enough. I will never again bet my sig with a lesser profile member. One thing about the Games industry and sales and reviews is you never can be too sure about what will happen. Look at all those fans of Duke Nukem who thought it would sell gangbusters and be one of the biggest games of the year.

Fact is your bet is out of the question. Though I don't think of myself as high profile I definatly know I have alot more to loose in such a bet then you do!

I'm high profile!? *blushes* OMG NOOOOOO WHAT DID I DOOOOO!!!?

Lemme teach you guys the coolest words in my language:

This bet is POES funny. (afrikaans for female genitals. Also used for emphasis among people who don't mind being frowned upon. Possibly the coolest word ever) (pronounced as in the 'pu' in push, but with a normal 's'.

I KAKKED in the test this morning. Eish. (kakked is not afrikaans, but kak is. kak means shit.Actually much cooler than the english version since saying "I shat in the test" just doesn't work nearly as well Eish is some African language for wtf)

(I'm bored and waiting for my buddy to finish his test so we can go have a peace pipe)

Never said you were high profile, just the highest that he's gonna get (Sorry). Plus I actually know who you are which makes you higher profile in my books then many other users, especially Homer lol.
