The source states that the game is being developed on Xbox 360 hardware, and implies that Microsoft may have acquired exclusive rights PRIOR to Bioware being aquired by Electronic Arts.

Jade Empire 2 would certainly help cement the Xbox 360's domination of the WRPG genre this generation.  


While this is awesome news, I'm not sure your conclusion is correct. Around here, Jade Empire was put on the fast track to the bargain bin. Ah well, if we can get more of John Cleese, I could care less about sales.

With their whole advantage of...3? Blue Dragon, Mass Effect and soon to be Lost Odyssey.

The only other two are Enchanted Arms and Eternal Sonata (now for PS3 to try and recoup some losses.) It's not like the 360 has a plethora of them. I also believe that Two Worlds was announced for PS3.

 Also I found that Jade Empire's battle system got repetitive too quickly. I still finished it for its story though

 Well Mass Effect by itself is domination so I guess the 360 is dominating the PS3 :p

I hope that BioWare ditches the whole good guy/bad guy; Renegade/Paragon thing. It's getting so tired, and brings down the fun in playing it. Deciding whether to be good or not all the time got really annoying in Kotor and in ME. I'd rather have decisions you make in the past affect the outcome of the game, rather than whether I'm good or bad affecting the outcome of the game.

man, i really do hope there is a jade empire 2 game coming out, i don't care what system its on as long as it comes out. I loved the first one and i love bioware but now that EA is in charge... i can only hope it is good.

Lol. Leo. FFXIII is over a year away. Even if it stays exclusive, it wont be nearly enough to equate to the 360's fantastic JRPG lineup by then.

I would want Jade Empire 2 to come out, the first was such a great game, it would also bolster the 360 lineup. I think I'll wait for Bioware to make a statement before I get my hopes up, considering that they only finished up on ME recently and have a few other more notable "rumoured projects" going on.
