Well I don't have a launch model but I'll speak for my cousin who has a 60GB and.....no. I'm gonna vacuum it out for him though, he used to leave it on 24/7 so I'm sure its chock full of dust.

Don't have one, but my 40GB fattie is still up and running, and my cousin has a 60GB model that's perfectly functional.

Mine works. I wouldn't trust the poll to give accurate results though for a few reasons.

1) Fanboys voting yes to make Sony look better.

2) Fanboys voting No to make sony look bad.

3) People on this website almost definitely use their PS3's more then the average public suggesting it would lead to a higher failure rate.

It died and when trying to get rockband out of the drive we found out you can put something in it ...So we put our megadrive in it..Coloured it blue and this is the result:

Mine works fine, and my little brother got it a year after launch and it still works too.



Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.
