I hadn't considered Xenoblade at all, the JRPG genre has never piqued my interest, although having not ever played one (well, maybe 10 minutes of Pokemon if that counts as one) I don't really know much about them at all.

You have no idea what you're missing! And since you've never played one, even one that over-uses the perks of the genre that have been used many times before won't feel like more of the same to you, so you might as well give it a try! Skip MH and get Xenoblade and The Last Story(releases next year). If you have a DS, get Golden Sun 3 and Chrono Trigger(also available on Virtual Console). Pokemon has little depth compared to most JRPGs, it just has a 'gotta catch em all' appeal and also has almost no story when compared with most JRPGs.

I wouldn't have said the OoT bosses are more challenging than the TP ones (in general). Perhaps people are getting that impression because OoT was the first game many people played like that, and the people playing TP are generally made up of people who played OoT in the past (or games that have taken a similar formula) and are thus wise enough to know what to expect.

It was my first time against that boss, at the beginnig I didn't know what was his weak point and I got some hits. I looked at my hearts and I only lose one and a half or two at most! They are definitely less challenging than Ocarina. Like I said, the game was designed so it's almost impossible to die unless you really suck!

By now you're probably in the Snowpeak Ruins. I beat the miniboss there in one hit (I'll tell you how i did it after you fight it). From the Skyward Sword previews I've read and watched, I can tell they are addressing this issue and making the minibosses and bosses tougher but I'm still concerned because it looks like the regular enemies are still as stupid as ever. This takes out all the fun of fighting a horde of about a dozen enemies, which hardly ever happens in 3d zelda anyway. In the snowpeak ruins, you do get to fight these ice warriors that can actually give you trouble, much like regular enemies in most other 3d adventure games!

Yeah I'm in Snowpeak but haven't reached the boss. But those frozen enemies really make a lot of damage! Like 4 hearts or something like that. It was really scary when I hit one and it slide to the wall and bounce back to me  =D

Can't believe this enemies are more dangerous than the bosses lol

The ice warriors that can spawn javelins are the toughest. After a while, you learn how to avoid most of the other ice baddies. BTW, it was the miniboss I beat in one hit, not the boss.

I finally finished the dungeon and yeah the miniboss was disappointing, very easy. The ice warriors  you talk about are tough but again they barely make any damage, the same with the final boss. The problem I was having with the other enemies was that I didn't know you could press buttons fast after being frozen, so I received  a lot of damage not doing it. Is a shame really you receive more damage this way than fighting the dungeon boss.

I want to do that with Twilight Princess, Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time, because are the easiest in the serie.

On my second play through the game, since I already knew where to get all the hidden skills, I got the attack you will be getting next BEFORE enterring the Snowpeak ruins. I hit the miniboss with this attack once, and that was all it took to down it. You should be in my favorite dungeon in the game by now. In my opinion, the next dungeon has the best of almost everything in TP as far as dungeons go, though it doesn;t have the best boss fight(still one of the best) and it doesn't use the wolf form or as many of your weapons as a few other dungeons do.

See that's the kind of thing I would enjoy, but I find it difficult not to go pick up the heart piece before warping out of the boss chamber. It's a compulsion, if I don't pick up the heart I don't feel I have completed the dungeon (same as if I don't open all the dungeon chests)

I think with the number of times I have completed WindWaker, and it also being the easiest of the three, I could probably still complete the main story of the game on three hearts without needing a fairy till puppet gannon. Twilight Princess though I think I would have trouble with some of the smaller enemies, definately have to be careful around the ice enemies, and anywhere there are multiples of knights or the large lizards I think I would likely die (I don't think those high tier enemies come in multiples until the castle though)

I like to collect 100% in Zelda games, I can do that in later playthrough but at least the first time I like to find everything
