Forums - Nintendo - All right gamrConnect, we're going to play Zelda games together!

Ah, so Sheik does let you go back in time once you've done the forest temple. Now i've corrected that error, and i'll get the Biggoron's sword tomorrow and start playing this game the right way.

The stereo sound was a tremendous help in the Phantom Ganon fight. Made it impossible to guess wrong

Though this time i had a harder time with Meg the Poe (last of the sisters). I mean i know to target the one that spins after the 4 appear, but Navi kept defaulting to the wrong one, and i just ended up having to shot at everything

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I was at the end of the waterfall in Majora's Mask when the 3 days ended. DAMMIT!!! Now I need to do the whole thing again.

I've also noted that the difficulty of the second horse race against Ingo was toned down a bit

Well this thread seems to have died off...

edit: noticed the significantly improved chamber in which you get the iron boots and learn the serenade of water. I had always thought that place was weirdly rendered in the N64 version, so that's what they were going for

Majora's Mask: Finished the waterfall temple, and collected the 15 faeries. Will return to day 1 and finish the other temples.

This is my first time playing the game and I'm LOVING it!

This thread will inevitably be a slow burn but I won't let it die, no worries.

Playing has been slow, though.  Still adjusting to having two jobs.

Just completed Ocarina of Time 3D. Gonna continue searching for all the Heart Pieces and Gold Skulltulas on that file. I'm gonna try completing Master Quest without grabbing any Heart Containers. Not sure how well that will go.

These weekend storms keep preventing me from getting to the flea market to go pick up the Zeldas I still don't have. :/

Hmm, I'm in too

I have OoT/MQ on GC disc
MM on VC
WW on GC
TP on Wii

I think I'll go for a main story* play-through of OoT, and/or MQ.
MM also main story* game
WW is awesome, and I know it so well I will probably go for a 100% (well, maybe minus completing the Nintendo gallery as that takes 2 plays, though I do love that bit)
TP I might not bother with 100% but I'll probably complete most of it, perhaps minus collecting some of the poes.

* just to note, I find it difficult to ignore a lot of side-quests so when I say main story I will likely be doing more than is neccessary.

Just completed Ocarina of Time 3DS.

I must say I didn't care for how the final scenes were handled. Ganondorf's transformation sequence is particularly jarring. The scene is much too bright (you could hardly see Ganon in the original) which, coupled with the oddly abrupt editing and choice of camera angles, makes for a static and decidedly anti-climactic sequence. In addition, the animation when Ganon knocks away the Master Sword isn't nearly as good.

On a more positive note, I still find the way Ganondorf's final decree is handled to be very intriguing. He vows to "exterminate the descendants of his enemies", yet in The Wind Waker he stills his hand, promising not to kill Link. It is a powerful change of character and I will share my own interpretation of it, but before that I'm wondering what other people think of the discrepancy - including, of course, the potential that Ganondorf is lying.

In the meantime, I am moving on to a hidden gem and a true dream - the last Zelda I have yet to own and play through completely...

Bah, i forgot to get Epona's song, now i gotta play this stupid game the sucker way (that is, without Biggoron's sword) until Sheik will let me go back in time. Get the stupid horse song, do that rigged fucking race with Ingo, and then start playing the right way. I'm so flustered i got killed by Stalfos since i really don't know how to fight without the Biggoron's extra technique.

They damn well better let me go before the Water Temple, or there's no way i'm beating Dark Link

Psha, wimp.... that's the best bit, I deliberately use the Master Sword with dark link because it will likely be an epic battle, can make it a good 20 minutes long, only battle that's beaten that is the final boss in Okami.
