This game looks epic. I can't wait to pic this up with my Vita, along with Uncharted and Wipeout. Very good times ahead, this system will hopefully keep me busy for quite a while. I agree with the Heavenly Sword comparison, I can see it selling and being treated like that. And I loved Heavenly Sword btw, hehe.

Don't kid yourself, even from someone extremely interest in this game, this is not a system seller, the quirky cell shading 'manga' graphic alone will ensure this game never achieve mainstream popularity.

Love the art style and graphics, looks like there's plenty of potential for a great story as well. Not sold at all on the combat in that trailer though.

If you watch the playthrough on Kotaku, the demo assistant mentions that the combat is gimped for the demo (also says it's a launch title). I do hope it's slightly faster in actual play though.

That said: I don't think PS has ever really had one system seller, and this most certainly isn't likely to be one.

Announcing MW3 with cross play though, that would be a system seller.

I agree. I am mostly gauging what pple think in the forums as far as which games convince them to pick a Vita up once it launches. Also looking to start some sales speculation(which I know wont be door busters but still). The game will have a crowd for sure. And the developers did state it should be ready as a release title so  YAY!!!!! :)

Cod, as much as I loathe the series, will definitely sell LOADs as a game for Vita. PSP's main clientel in america(as I percieved when I worked at gamestop) were military men. They favored the PSP for the fact it had shooters. If Vita were to get the biggest shooter of this gen then it will fly out the doors for that particular crowd.

it doesn't have to be mainstream to sell some consoles. It has a niche like certain other franchises and thats good enough for some. Think Disgaea, sells between 400-600k each entry, but its a set fanbase who they know will buy each game. As long as their development budget isn't too high(and with disgaea...u know it isn't) they make plenty of profit.

Gravity Daze will assuredly not sell MILLIONs but all it needs is a few hundreds. Convince anime lovers of the system, and subsequently when/if it is good enough to warrent a sequel they will be right there to lap it up. Thats a 100k new stable fans of the Vita by default :)

Disgaea has an establish fanabse though and this does not. Unless word of mouth travel far and wide and it gains a cult following like Valkyria Chronicle I very much doubt it will sell many systems. Even a cult hit like VC didn't sell many PS3. Again, I am very interest in this game and if I get a Vita at launch this will likely be my first title even before Uncharted, but I am a very very small minority at best. This alone will not move unit, the Vita in fact has very little software that will move unit by itself at launch. I expect it start slow and gradually move more unit as a collection of game that someone might want begins to materialise.
