Forums - Nintendo - Is Nitendo WII U controller comfortable?

He's right, because the Wii remote is as comfortable as it gets.

Nintendo failed the hardcore by going backwards.

For me the controller is a big dissapointment, because it looks really uncomfortable for FPS games like Call of Duty,Battlefield and others.Imagine even assassins creed where you have to hold at once  R1,X and adjust the direction of moving with the left stick. It's gonna very hard to do with this WII-U controller. Why didn't they make a normal controller and this controller optional.

First of all, for FPS games there is the Wii remote, but besides that the button layout to me looks very similar to a "normal" controller, although the control nubs are above the buttons instead of below like the dualshock/Wii Classic or alternated like GC/Xbox... which to be honest would be better for dual analogue FPS in my opinion, as the default position is to have thumbs on each stick and the main buttons used are the shoulder ones.

Why would holding R1, X (or whatever the face button may be on that controller) and using the left stick be difficult with it? I don't understand why you would think that when your hands will be in the same position as normal.... except for being further apart.

Also, the last uncomfortable Nintendo controller I know of was the NES.

Nintendo isn't stupid. They wouldn't use it if it wasn't comfortable. In an E3 interview with some random person, they said the controller is more comfortable than it looks.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Yeah, well. I read on some forum that someone said it looked unconfortable. So, it must be true.

I don't really trust people with first hand experience.

I actually have been wondering if the controller is going to be comfortable or not as it looks like a giant rectangle, it'd be nice if you can use the classic controller.

Well I will change the title I mean it's made for casual gamers who are gonna be impressed by it,not for real gamers.

There was only ever one real gamer:

His current whereabouts are unknown.

But I would still trust a person with first hand experience over one with first eye experience.

We will have to wait until reviewers have the systems where they can play them for a few hours at a time to have a better idea of whether this controller is good or not.
