I like the SINGLE PLAYER exclusive experiences more on my PS3, but i prefer my Xbox 360 because of multiplayer titles, and for the fact that I play multi-platform games mostly, and I have always had the better experience with those on my 360. There's no need to break down every factor of my preference, so i'll just leave it at that.

When I'm feeling social, competitive, or just want a long gaming session - I'm turning on my 360.
When I'm feeling reserved, relaxed, or just want alone time to focus on gaming - I'm turning on my PS3.

If we choose with our wallets, I gotta go 360 (I probably own close to 150 360 games if you include downloads), Wii (I probably own 30 Wii games if you include downloads). PS3 (I probably own 20 games if downloads are included). So 360>Wii>PS3

But if you go by actual time spent with the consoles, it's 350>PS3>Wii. I buy mostly exclusives on the latter two. The 360 gets multiplats and exclusives.

I live in the UK and the PS3 is much bigger than the XBOX 360 over here. My PSN friends outnumber my XBL friends 5 to 1 (in real life).

Where abouts do you live? It tends to be teh northerners that buy the XBOX 360.

Plymouth. Everyone has a 360 here. Both games in town just cut ps3 space to 3 sections. Compared to 7 and 8 360 sections. Also sales suggest 360 is doing over ps3 in UK on chart track UK.

Uncharted 3 game looks crazy good, it really do. It would still be the xbox360 for me though if I had to decide. But as a gamer I really shouldn't have too.

A huge seller for me is that you can listen to your own music on the 360 while playing games. Weird how PS3 can't do this.. and i thought the PS3 was supposed to be more powerful?!?! I hate game music so it's nice to turn off the music and blast my own tunes straight off the 360 while still having the games sound effects on. 

Also it's nice using a controller that was designed in the 21st century.

Both PS3 + 360 exclusives don't really do it for me. Give us BFBC2 and COD any day!!

360, but that's because I don't have a PS3 at the moment, although I'd like to play the games there are few things that put me off greatly - the not-so-great community on both the internet and the online gaming one on PSN, microphones are nonexistent, everyone just games in silence, fun times. I have only 1/2 friends that PS3 but they also have a 360, so it's a bit pointless for me to buy a PS3 where majority of my friends play anyway. Most of the titles that I wish to play with the exception of few - Demon Souls, Uncharted 2/3, KZ and probably inFamous or something are all mult iplatform anyway, COD and RPG's is where I do most of my gaming anyway. Price is still a bit of a falcon punch even now, I brought my 360 for the same price, more than 2 years ago. The controller is very uncomfortable for me to use, I genuinely dislike PS controllers having had 360 for so long, I can still adapt, but I just find them uncomfortable to use.

Overall I'd say they'd probably be equal either way, I genuinely don't give a tiny rat's ass who wins the supposed race.. which is a bit retarded to still care for this late in the gen cycle anyway. But I just can't justify purchasing a PS3 at the moment to experience a few games, because that's all I'd do anyway, if the next PS is BW then I'll consider buying it, I think it's almost guaranteed that I'll buy the next box, despite it's not-so-stellar performance in the recent years in regards to the exclusive game market, the multiplatform support kept the console alive for me, and unless all the big 3rd parties decide to drop the next xbox support, I'll be satisfied with it.
