Actually, Raving Rabbids was originally Rayman 4. That's how Michael Ancel had planned it, traditional Rayman game but with minigames too. It was really Ubisoft's idea to take the platformer out of the game and we ended up with Raving Rabbids (Ancel protested).

If you look at some early screens you can see the Rayman platformer that never was.

I have the same problem with Wii games. Disappointments after another.
Though, SMG is good.
I'll wait at least a month after the game comes out to hear people's comments before buying a Wii game - except SSBB - already pre-ordered it. God, I hope it doesn't suck.

Yes why not?  They even made Rayman Revolution for PS2 as a launch game and that sold pretty well on the
Small userbase at that time it is not like the audience is different from nowand then except the bigger userbase now.

As is explained each and every time this is mentioned, there is a very good reason for it. Everyone expected sony domination and/or a runoff between sony and microsoft. Nobody thought that the Wii would take off as it did. As a result, there were dev teams assigned to put out quality stuff on PS3 and 360 prior to the Wii's entering the marketplace.

Once the Wii's success was realized, third parties began trying to put together quality titles, but the dev cycles on good games are longer than the time that the Wii has been on the market. If dev companies did not have a quality team in place and making a game prior to Wii's coming out, then there will (in all likelihood) not be a good game coming from that company until the length of a proper dev cycle.

As a result, yea, PS3 has better 3rd party games as of December 2007 because of the fact that third parties put full development cycles into the games, as they expected PS3 to be a success. Any solid third party games for the Wii are still in development, and/or are rushed out and therefore not quality games, after all.

Atleast the crap games on Wii cost less then the crap games on PS3

I feel some developers arn't putting their best effort into them. Also EA is nortorious for that type of stuff. Also Nintendo has been making some really good qualtity games. You just have to know which game was actually done well on the Wii b4 buying it.

Wii has more games = possibility of more crappy games

Wii is popular = possibility of more crappy games;

Check PS2 games, Check DS games you will find a lot of crap in their library...
