Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony: PSvita to be sold at profit at launch

Sony have a profitable system a launch? in this day an age? impossible...

Around the Network

i'm getting tired of all these nut-jobs saying if they learn their lesson or not. This is an investment just like the ps3, and if some didn't notice they always take risk. Smart phones/androids some come with oled and 2 cores, so it wont be long till they get up to 4 cores and by then it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper. I don't know how much it cost to build a psvita, but I'd have to go with Kaz on this.

CPU: Ryzen 9950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5 Pro

The official word is less than 3 years to profit to hardware alone, profiting from hardware+software day 1 and overall a profitable first year with some initial losses due to launch campaign (advertising costs, investment in upcoming software)

Kaz said "within" 3 years to make a profit. Day one is within 3 years lol. I'm not sure when Kaz made his comments, but there were also rumors before e3 that the PSV had a reduction in hardware specs, so maybe thats why the price to manufacture has gone down?
