Sooo...just checking in around 1000 posts later lol. Anything exciting I missed?

lol :P I kid I kid

I dunno man..we had a lot of stuff posted here...like some awesome facts about Motor Storm RC (like how many times the game got downloaded per minute), the original LKS being included in the new game, new ip Soul Sacrifice from sony, new hatsune miku for vita, some new apps including a paint one and an alarm clock etc etc

Go on...

"MotorStorm: RC publisher Sony has posted an impressive list of stats for the PlayStation 3 and Vita racer.

Did you know that there are 19 downloads of MotorStorm: RC every minute? Apparently so. Presumably that counts both PS3 and Vita versions which you get with a single purchase of either. Does it also count downloads of the free trial?

Somewhere in the world, someone starts a MotorStorm: RC event every second.

Every 60 seconds sees two new PSN friendships formed, two in-game challenges sent and eight MotorStorm: RC PlayStation Trophies earned."

I wonder how long those sales held up, it's the equivalent of 27,360 units per day or 191 520 per week.

By "sold" they must mean individual licenses registered, which includes a lot of free licenses given away in NA.

While not everyone who buys an NA PSV is going to download the game, with the current limited software options, anyone looking for a quick racing game fix, or even anyone just snapping up anything being distributed for free will probably add the game to their DL queue.

Technically, you don't even need a PSV to get a free license; you can get the game for free through the PS3, not that it will do you any good.

What it appears, is that SCE is experimenting with the free to play model on the PSV given the number of microtransaction updates the game has already received. Keeps the game fresh, price of entry to try the game is no risk (anyone can play for free) so paying microtransactions for additional content that enhance or extend the experience is not a big issue and as long as the updates continue, presumably they'll retain a significant portion of the regular players.

It's the same business model that has worked for quite a few iOS game developers.

A Plastation Suite session will held in Japan on 19th April.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

gd gd I want to see sony make a huge push for the ps suit..could be a potential gold mine for them imho

and also it seems we have surpassed the post count of comg thread 0_o

So what exactly is this Playstation Suite I keep seeing people mention, anyone mind sharing what it is?

Here is the summary I got off of wiki

"

PlayStation Suite is an upcoming software framework that will be used to provide downloadable PlayStation content for devices that meet the forthcoming PlayStation Certified requirements. Currently, this includes devices that both run Android 2.3 and meet specific unannounced hardware requirements, and Sony's PlayStation Vita. The framework will be cross-platform and cross-device, which Sony refers to as "hardware-neutral". (It is based on the Mono platform.)[1] It is currently set to be released around April of 2012. It is expected to be released along side the upcoming Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the 2011 Xperia portfolio[1][2]"

what I think it basically is a gaming marketplace,,,for Android (with other non android devices included but mainly aimed at that market segment) the SDK for this is priced at $99 so entry is rather cheap and if pulled off properly this could be a very very good thing for sony. If anyone else can give a better more detailed explanation please do so
