Looks like Disney Infinity 2.0 hits Vita next month.

22nd of May seems to be the UK release. I'd normally be more ???, but the picture really does look a lot more legit than most places.

Nice, let's hope to see a Skylander's game on VIta soon.

Making some progress with Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus. Cool game in my opinion.

Edit: Anyway, how's the Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank collection on the Vita? I'm curious about those 2.

Jak & Daxter is perfectly playable, there are a few of us on here have completed the first Jak and Daxter on it.

It's not a bad bad bad port per se, the game is perfectly playable. It's just that it runs at a very chugging frame rate compared with the originals (it's approx 20fps). Jak II and III are much better though.

I mean people on here sing the MGS HD port's praises, but that equally suffered a drop from 60fps to 30fps, at least for MGS2. I'd certainly say both the Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter Trilogies are worth a punt if you found the God of War games playable (as this suffered the same sort of "unplayable" frame rate issues as Jak 1)

People just being divas IMO.

Jak II and Jak 3 work better than Jak & Daxter with a few minor drops. I still consider them bad ports, especially the first game, but their still playable. it depends on you however. it's a cross-buy game so I recommend playing the PS3 versions instead.

I don't consider these complaints misplaced because the frame rate drops are highly noticeable in action scenes.

Vita is his first PlayStation system, so playing them on PS3 isn't an option. Yes the frame rate drops are noticible, but that doesn't make them bad ports, unless you can point me to somewhere you can play these games portably at 60fps? You expect a reduced frame rate on portable devices so I don't see how it's a "bad port"?

You can comment that the frame rates aren't as good, thas a perfectly valid observation, however to me, a bad port is broken. They are perfectly playable and a perfectly valid way to enjoy the games so I think that's a poor conclusion to make.

That was a poor choice of words on my part. They are still be playable, but the developers should have made better comprimises to make them more stable IMO.

I agree they could have been better, however I also understand the issues that they had. Just like how Sega Saturn emulation to this day is so difficult. the PS2 was pretty unique architechture, so raw CPU grunt alone won't allow decent ports.  I'm sure Sony would have had PS2 classics on Vita if it was viable for them.

But you only need to look at Xenoblade Chronicles 3D to see just how a "port" when put on mobile hardware means a massive cut back on performances. Chugzilla right there despite having a whole new hardware iteration released for it.

The Drop for the US this week:

Broken Age
PS4, PS Vita — Digital (Cross Buy)
Broken Age is a timeless coming-of-age story of barfing trees and talking spoons. Vella Tartine and Shay Volta are two teenagers in strangely similar situations, but radically different worlds. The player can freely switch between their stories, helping them take control of their own lives, and dealing with the unexpected adventures that follow.

Project Root
PS4, PS Vita — Digital (Cross Buy)
Paying homage to the classic SHMUP, Project Root throws players into the front lines of the rebellion to battle against a never-ending collection of enemy aircraft, swarms of missile attacks, legions of tanks and engage in frenetic boss battles to strike at the root of the evil Prometheus Corp.

Sketchcross
PS Vita — Digital
Sketchcross is a Nonogram logic picture puzzle game. Get ready for the satisfaction of solving 50 mind-numbing puzzles spanning from small 5 x 5 puzzles all the way up to the extra large 30 x 30 puzzles.

So, I've come across a really strange one on Play-Asia when browsing their database:

http://www.play-asia.com/civilization-revolution-2-plus-paOS-13-49-en-70-8r7f.html

Yeh, Civilization Revolution 2 Plus.  As in the iOS/Android Civ game they released last year, enhanced a bit.

Could just be an incorrect listing (the video they have for it is Date-A-Live Vita, but they already have a listing for that game so it's not just like the title's wrong).  Showing as an Asian release too, and there's nothing in the DB for USA/Europe, but still - kinda interesting.

I have platinum'd all 3 games on the Jak Collection and I've Plaitum'd 2 or 3 on the Ratchet Collection (just didn't get a chance to go for Up Your Arsenal's Platinum yet).
Jak Collection - If you're a big Platformer fan, and don't have PS2 or PS3 to play it on instead the port is definitely playable, but it IS a bad bad bad bad bad BAD port. Atleast Jak 1. Jak 1 has a disgusting input lag, you'll get use to it eventually and the framerate you can say on average for it is like 20fps, and that's no exaggeration. Everything in that game but looking directly at a wall basically makes the games frames drop. Now Jak 2, immediately upon getting control of Jak, ALL the issues of Jak 1 become even more obvious. But in a good way. Jak II and Jak 3 actually perform quite good in comparison and honestly even the PS3 collection was kinda a embarrassing port in itself. So it's not actually so bad, Jak II in the City at some points it'll chug like hell, but it's really not much of a problem, though it can be annoying if enemies are attacking same time. But it's actually acceptable. Jak 3 performs good for the most part, the new areas were all fine only time I remember chugs was at a spoiler point which I won't say. Ran decent.

Ratchet Collection: This collection is just great, not much frame drops that I can think of, it does have a little added input lag on the first game but it's not really an issue seeing the game originally had a input lag as well, just not as much. Ratchet Going Commando ran perfectly for the most part, had a few frame drops but it ran consistent almost always, even when it got hectic. Up Your Arsenal seems to look better than the other 2 and feel better, which is obvious seeing it is the last of the 2 but it runs the best for the little I've tried myself. This collection is definitely done ALOT better than Jaks. Only negative is that instead of making the controls ideal for Vita they straight ported with the back touch substituting, similar to the PS1/ps4 remote play option. With no customizable option. But it's really only strafing which is simple to do using the back to it's actually no issue, atleast for me.

I wish the Jak and Daxter games were available on PS Now. I was able to play God of War Ascension through there last night.
