By no game they mean vita has no game that people care about

That's entirely subjective though and very much dependent on people's taste - if you're in to big western AAA games then you have a point, but if you like more niche things especially from Japan then Vita has lots of games. A generalisation like that is almost never entirely true

That's why people tend either to love the Vita or take the piss out of it - you'll find it has a lot to do with people's tastes

That explain why vita is doing so well in Japan and not in west, but still most of Western who complain about vita say that they don´t want a Console like Game on the vita (which is not my case because I like playing games like uncharted or Fifa 14 on my vita)

That's certainly part of it - superior Japanese support (compared to the west) = better Japanese sales (compared to the west). Vita's also helped in Japan because it's a more handheld-friendly market, like you pointed out.

That's why Japanese support is now moving up a gear a little and Vita is getting larger budget exclusive titles, Phantasy Star Nova being the best example, so you create a virtuous cycle of sales leading to better support leading to more sales, which is what Sony have failed to do in the west.

Yep! You good logic

Thanks :)

Yes i agree with you but i think majority here prefer AAA games and we should respect their choice i don't have any problem with indies games even if i don't like them but problem is the lack of AAA games when vita launched i thougth vita will have all type of games to attract all audience but they wasn't able to bring AAA games witch attracted psp before.

All this indies wasn't able to make vita sold well that means a lot want to buy a console for AAA games not indies.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

True, but the choices of more niche audiences are relevent as well and there is an argument that the more mainstream audience in the west aren't interested in console-type experiences on handhelds anyway, or in handhelds at all, in which case Sony may as well concentrate on more niche genres where there's already a fanbase and a range of titles which can be built upon to attract similar people to invest in the platform

A lot of it is down to whether or not you think that in today's market, it is even possible for Vita to succeed in the west like the PSP did. Given the growing strength of mobile and the fact that though solid (and way better than Vita's), even 3DS sales in the west aren't spectacular, I'm beginning to think it was always impossible for Vita to succeed in that way

Vita has a future, but the AAA-in-your-hands experience, though it can work, doesn't seem to be a viable path to large-scale success so you may as well cater to the fans you've got, and get others like them to join in, even if overall that isn't a massive market (still workable though)

I don't see how people don't want console type experiences on handheld when best selling psp games are console type games i'm sure only gta help psp to sell  more then all indies games on vita.

Indie support on vita is so stong but didn't it save vita no it's dosn't what i want is a lot support for indies and from third party.

People don't care about handheld because 3rd party don't care about handheld and support them i'm sure if 3rd party support them peoples will buy handheld.First years psp had great support from 3rd party and it sold well then i don't know for what reasons 3rd didn't care about psp anymore except in Japan and psp started to sell poor.

I agree that developers refusing to get involved (and Sony's failure to incentivise them to do so) is harming Vita and that some big profile titles would of course be helpful. However, what I was getting at is that the market may well have changed and people may not care about console gaming on handhelds any more

I suspect that PSP was helped by the novelty not only of a portable PlayStation but the novelty of having games like GTA and MGS in your pocket - having had a console that can do that, it may be that people are waiting for something new again. This isn't the only example - I'd argue that WiiU's failure is because it isn't as innovative as Wii, and in offering the same as PSP but better, Sony may have missed a change in the market.

I think therefore that Sony need to look very closely at the existing fanbase when choosing their next big games - a look in this thread shows you that many Vita fans are JRPG fans, as shown by the sales of Persona 4 Golden (830k by my calculations). Therefore I suspect a big Final Fantasy would do better than another Uncharted or Killzone type game. Vita's lineup has already shown some ability to attract such fans and building on that to attract more people like that would be easy than building a new audience from scratch with big AAA games which may not even make all that much of an impact

I see any reason why the market changed, smartphone gamers are peoples who never played video game before smartphone became popular.

The audience of the Sony handheld  are people who want to play popular playstation games  on handheld and the sales of games on psp prove that best selling games on psp and psv are console type games, did you see how many people was angry because the silent hill game on vita was different from silent hill game on console.

Where do you thing psp audience goes to home console then why they didn't buy a ps3 instead of a psp why they would change their idea or do you think their goes to smartphone, i doubt they goes to smartphone because AAA games are better in handheld due to graphics and smartphone lack true button.

I think the reason why psp audience  didn't buy a vita is because tens of ip was on psp and they are not on vita.

I'm sure a Final fantasy game will sell more then Uncharted because final fantasy is popular worldwide unlike Uncharted.

While I agree some people might not be getting Vita because the likes of GTA aren't on the console. We cannot deny the marketplace is very different to back when the PSP launched.

The PSP also had a big appeal in that it was a universal media device. You could play your music on the move and watch films on it before mobile phones were doing this. iPods etc were also a lot more expensive adding to the PSP's value factor.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

It's not because smart phones sales increase and console not that smart phones stole console audience ,smart phones gamers want simple games for 1 dollars and console gamers want big game like Gta.

Exactly, the PSP was hugely marketed as a multimedia portable game console, something that not many other portable devices could do at the time. It was like the PS2 which was marketed for having a DVD player, something that was expensive as a standalone player back in 2000.

Also, the PSP had major games from release. The Vita only appeals mostly to a certain market, like the eastern market. Not saying that Vita hasn´t good western games, but it doesn´t have games that appeal to the masses there.

Anyone here know how to speed up time?? Waiting for Miku sucks. Also I cant seem to get remote play working with my PS4, will have to try again later today when I get time.
