It's certainly possible that this is partly Sony's doing, but I suspect that the whole #jrpgvita thing was aimed more at the slightly bigger publishers, trying to get the like of Bamco and SE on vita and in the west. Personally, I think they've just been attracted by how well that sort of software seems to do on vita, it's a natural haven where they get maximum exposure to a hardcore base without being overshadowed by other games. Fingers crossed the next announcement is Senran Kagura, for some reason I really want to see what it's like.

Also how are you getting on with DW:N? I got seriously addicted over Christmas when I first got it, hopefully they improve on it further for the vita versions of WO3U, DW8XL and SW2HD

That's the thing though.  Aside from Persona 4, there hasn't really been a precedent for smaller, Japanese titles selling on Vita.  I do understand the point about getting more exposure when they're not in a packed lineup, but still.

Regardless of who's taking care of it, I'm just happy.  And I'm going to do my best to try and buy as many of them as possible as close to launch as I can just to send the message that it's the right thing to do :)

Regarding Dynasty Warriors - I haven't had a huge amount of time to game lately, so it's literally perfect for me.  I can just pick it up and play a couple of battles here and there.  I'm really enjoying it.  I do understand that it can get repetitive, but they keep adding little new elements here and there that keep things fresh.  For example, recently it taught me about the ability to control two units of troops with the minimap which I thought was a great addition.

I'll definitely be picking up Warriors Orochi 3 or Dynasty Warriors 8 for Vita if they make it over here.  Works pretty damn well on handhelds.

(I don't understand the story at all though, lol).

Hmm, now I think about it you could well be right, I've only just realized that a lot of the examples I had in my head were from games that were successful in Japan. Either way the vita fanbase has been quite vocal in asking for these sorts of games, maybe that has been enough in itself. Also I'm glad you like DW, the story in that game is a little more split up and difficult to follow I thought than DW7, personally though I find it really interesting - having played these games I got interested in the actual history that inspired them and now I'm doing a project about it in college. Unfortunately it's sucking up a lot of time but I'm still enjoying it, though I'm looking forwards to having some more spare time after christmas (that's why I haven't bought P4G yet, partly so it can act as a reward for finishing this, partly because it would take up so much time I wouldn't get anything else done)

Also surprised at Conception. Will Atlus mess with it?

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

Since no-one has posted it yet, here's some Amazing Spider Man footage on Vita.  Not as terrible as I was expecting, actually:

Freedom Wars is developed by Japan Studio; Dimps (responsible for certain Sonic games) and... Shift (God Eater):

That certainly explains the similarities people were seeing.

Dragon's Dogma Quest coming on December 19th to Japan:

wow that's actually some very good talent behind Freedom Wars project. Hype!

Oh god Dimps... (I'm a big sonic fan xD)

2 more days till we get new Freedom wars info. Hopefully a new trailer.

Good news about Conception 2. To be honest, I hope Sony had nothing to do with the recent localizations (Demon gaze, holy sorcery, Conception 2 etc..) that way Sony will have to bring other titles over and the choices would be Tales remakes or Legend of heroes Zero, Sen and upcoming Ao vita remake.
Personally I'd prefer the latter since the Tales remakes weren't that good and the LOH series is epic.

so since Miku and Conception are coming over..hopefully this is a sign that SEGA are being more proactive about localizations

This localization was probably in mind before SEGA got atlus (They already had it), it means nothing yet.

Atlus USA seems somewhat independent of atlus jp anyway. (like NISA)

I've been playing Persona 4 golden this week, and it's sooooo good.
