Yeah, they've used some limp stock. They should have talked to Samsung. Who despite making some of the worst LCD displays known to man, are actually damn good at making OLED displays for their phones.

Samsung LCDs are amongst the best.

I think all Vita screens are a dud in one form or another, a real shame.

They didn't used to be. OMG the Component video quality when the 360 launched! BLEH!

I wouldn't know now. I leveled up and moved onto Plasma when Panasonic bought Pioneer's "Kuro" tech on the cheap and started doing sets that previously cost £2500+ for £600 :D

If I never had to look at an LCD screen again I'd be happy. But sadly my laptop has one and my screens at work are also LCD :( disgusting tech that should have been left behind last decade were it not for the race to the bottom for cheap big displays :/

Actually ita OLED sscreens are from Samsung.. I saw when was taered apart a Vita some time ago just after the release...

In that case, Samsung trolled them, to get shot of dodgy stock for their S4! Well played Samsung! haha

I'm glad that the Vita has no PenTile Matrix like the Galaxy S1, S1 Plus, S3, S4 and Note 1 but a real RGB matrix.

The Galaxy S4 is only bearable due to the high resolution so the type of the matrix gets insignificant.

Wouldn't it be like the first time Sony done that? Every time they released a new "Slim", "X000" model, the former model was phased out. Only time there were two PSP at the same time, one being the GO model, so hardly a replecement. Even now in my country there is only the E1000 Street model of the PSP even though it's a heavily stripped down version compared to PSP 3000 models, that may be due to retailers choice but I think that 3000 is not officially available in Europe anymore.

So until there is like clear confirmation from Sony, I say the OLED models will be replaced.

- To anyone who has issues with Agito releasing on iOS, it isn't the same as Type-0 and that dude from Sony's 3rd party team said they are going to be hrd at work pursuing the top requests from the Blog Post and the top complaint was Final Fantasy Type-0, and seeing that the game is basically translated already I'm sure it'll release pretty soon, unless Sony talks em into a PS Vita version, which would be better lol
- The OLED in Samsungs Galaxy phones have the splash thing on the screen also, mine and my brothers SIII has em, it's just not as visible because on the screens look, Also. My PS Vita doesn't have the green issue, nor does it have the splash or any screen issues, but the blacklight seems to have weakened, I'm actually happy for the LCD, seeing my weak backlight doesn't show much improvement and honestly, the quality on OLED seems to be too high, cause textures in some games just look horrible once it touches OLED.
