At this point they need to announce a GTA, GT, a Santa Monica and a Naughty Dog game or shut up.

At some point in life (generally after achieving something relatively big) some people think they are too cool to play video games anymore. Generally it is temporary. Do you see any people outgrowing movies or music? No. Because they are "cool" no matter the age.

Im afraid to believe, but i might be going to gamescom this year. Would be awesome to have cool new vita announcements on playable form.
Being able to play your PS2 classics would be nice. I know it's possible.
Damn Vita bias continues.
Jak Trilogy has gone from an 80+% meta on PS3 to 65% meta on Vita purely because of a halved frame rate >_<
Bayonetta on PS3 didn't suffer such a severe markdown over the 360 ver for the same reason. You'd think the frame rate was game breaking or something the way reviewers treat Vita ports. Anyone who's put off getting Jak on Vita because of the reviews, seriously ignore them, I'm having an absolute blast, now 69% (way-hey!) through Jak 1 and apparently that's the worst port on the trilogy. It's also really nice to be able to have the TV on in the background or whatever too, rather than it taking up the TV.
So I have no space on my memory card... quick Mugen, use your magic and get Sony to make a 128 gig card.

Because the PS3 version is 20$ compared to the Vita version which is 30$ with bad frame rate...
Former something....

It wasn't that price when it launched which would be when all those sites were reviewing it :P
That said, I don't have any qualms with Jak's Metacritic. What sounds like a low-effort port gets average scores. Sounds about right. Especially if the home console version scores in the 80's which runs perfectly; it has to be lower for a handheld port that runs worse.
I'd rather Mass Media had done what Criterion did with NFS and lobbed as much off the graphics as they needed to but got it running smoothly.
The PS3 version was reviewed when it was a full price title ;) Over here at least it was £29.99 for the PS3 version too. The PSN ver's are priced the same and cross buy in Europe.
Yes there are framerate problems, but that doesn't take 15% off the quality of a game (unless you're doing it mathematically by the frame :p) and again, it's portable. Before Vita, no handheld consoles have had games rated down because they're not identical to the frame/pixel with the home console version.
There just seems to be sooo much emphasis on Vita games purely from a technical aspect and they are very disproportionate to the actual quality of the game itself.
Burnout Legends on PSP vs Need for Speed Most Wanted on Vita is a perfect example of this. Burnout Legends had massive compromises and cut backs, but was highly acclaimed for being "so close" to the home console experience. Most Wanted delivers a near identical port and gets marked down because it's not identical.

I see where your getting at here.. Sometimes higher quality games doesnt mean "Looks better"... The herbs looks way too messy and covers all of the ground.... Sometimes the more simpler approach looks better |
Exactly! I'm glad you said it, though. I was already regretting sharing my thougths on the subject.
