They have said they won't have ps1 support on launch so I guess a patch will be released down the road.

Pretty sure they will update the system very soon, but I don't know why they didn't made it compatible since day one =/

oh that's not so bad then. I can handle that...would be better if they did the same with newer PS3's and PS2 Backwards Compatibility

PS1 classics is supposed to be patched in with later firmware
