Any of you guys pretend to buy PSP games for your Vita? If so, what games?
I'm planning to play Resistance Retribution (again, with dual analog sticks yay!) and Tactics Ogre (never played it).

I got Lunar waiting in my PSN account for Vita :) Also i just got War of Lions in last sale.

Hmm how much Lunar costs? It seems to be a very interesting RPG.

I think its 19.99, not sure, but that was the last price cut for it back in Mar 2011.

As for what it is, its a pretty good RPG first came out back in the Sega Systems in the late 1990s. It was ported over to the GBA and remade once again for the PSP few years ago. Its worth getting!

Thanks! I love old rpgs, maybe I will get it when I buy Vita and, hopefully, the price will be a little lower :D

Wait, the PSV can't play PS1 downloads? How absolutely pathetic is that?

glad I didn't delete Final Fantasy V, VI, VII, VIII, and IX from my PSP.

very

well then why the fuck did I waste my time buying a 32 gig memory card? I bought one that big so I could have all my PS1 classics in one place.  I can fit all my games on 12 gigs or so, I'd wager.  This is just stupid.

they have said PS1 support is coming

oh jeez, why'd you scare me like that?!

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

I could try it today!

I can't comment much about how it feels because the stand where it was attached blocked much of it. But it felt solid, a quality product with, as other have said, a nice screen. I found the analogs to be good, albeit too small.

Only tried Motorstorm and Wipeout. I didn't liked Motorstorm, "meh" graphics and I didn't like the controls, but I did enjoy Wipeout. I got the same feeling as those PS1 games but with much better graphics. My only gripe with it is that either the demo is too easy or I'm too good at it because after so many years without playing a Wipeout game and after spending the first lap going from wall to wall I ended wining the race. And no, I'm not even half that good.

Also, for those in Spain that haven't reserved it, Media Markt has it for 229 / 279 € (wifi / 3G models)

The reason why they dont want PS1 emulation from within the PSVita right now is because they want the system's own software to sell out a bit before implementing PS1 titles via PSN, same way with what they did with the PSP. Although since PSN is bigger than it was back in 2007, I would assume, PS1 games will be playable sometime before the end of this year.

I think that's more that they have to update the PSX games some weren´t compatible with PSP at first and probably they have to update some for Vita..

I would like more PS2 classics on Vita...

aha im sorry, im buying Twisted Metal 1 from PSN when they patch it in!

So does anyone know off the top of their head how much it'll cost to get PSP games downloaded to PSN so we can play on PSV (fucking PS...)? there's a few games I'd like to transfer over (FFI, FFII, FFIV) that I own on PSP that I'd be willing to pay for again to get them transferred. it would be so awesome to have Final Fantasy I, II, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, and IX all on one system at one time, even more awesome if I had FFX once the remake is released.

I do love my Final Fantasy...which is why XIII and XIII-2 were so disappointing.

I don't think it's confirmed that you can transfer your games. As of now it's only for Japan.

Yeah, as many will recall, when the PSP Go was released, there was a lot of talk regarding transfering UMDs to PSN licenses that never panned out. I don't even think that happened in Japan. That may have also gone a long way in explaining why the Go never really had much of a chance to gain traction with consumers; it was essentially set up so as to appeal only to those who were not previous PSP owners with existing UMD collections.

While it would be very welcome, I'm not actually holding my breath on this one happening in NA. If it does, fantastic; I'll probably end up dumping my UMDs altogether and that PSP will become nothing more than an MGS collectable. I doubt they'd do a physical turn in program (mail in UMDs for PSN license codes) due to logistics (WB did an interesting swap HD-DVD for BD program a few years back when HD-DVD tapped out), but I wouldn't have any issue with paying maybe $5 per game to transfer the license if it meant I could play all my old PSP UMD games on the PSV.

I'm content to forget that the UMD format ever existed.
