APM's bitesize mgs hd impressions!
I didn't like MGS2. The acting was laughably bad and the controls felt alien and unintuitive. The story did nothing for me mainly due to the acting and I didn't really get used to the controls, so after about 3 hours I had no motivation to keep playing, and I don't think I'll ever be going back.
I'm having a better time with MGS3. I'm only an hour in, but the controls feel a little better, the acting is a little better (not snake's actor though). The environment is prettier, and a lot more unfamiliar, which is great compared to the mundane as fuck container ships in 2. The alternate or I guess untold history surrounding the cuban missile crisis is actually quite engrossing.
Both games look fine, MGS3 looks a little nicer as expected, but I think both could look a lot better if the character models were re-done, that's what stuck out the most visually, in a bad way. Still, these are PS2 games in 2012, so taking that into consideration both games look great.
