Ok, the truth is, I'm a Spurs fan. I've always hated the Mavs simply because I always believed Nowitzki was overrated, unreliable, and couldn't lead a team to a championship. But zomg hell, Dirk is playing like god himself came down and decided to live in Dallas. He must be insane! He has won me over. The shots he's making are just impossible in my eyes. Mavs in 6 games for sure.

Anyone watch game 2? I actually turned the TV off when Miami went up 15, but then my friend called me to say "HEY THE LEAD IS DOWN TO 4"!!

That comeback was crazy. Actually they've been having comebacks all playoffs long. All because of Dirk!

A lot of individuals are cheering for the Mavs, I think it has to do with the hatred of the heat. I wonder if Miami fans exist outside of Miami.

Once the Heat beat the Bulls, I became a MAvs cheerleader.

personally i couldn't care less for the heat. whoever dallas would have been up against, i would cheer on dirk. the guy has been playing amazingly and he has won me over. i think my main reason for backing dallas now is that the spurs lost (lol). second reason would be dirk's play. mavs in 6.

I dislike both teams. I was always a Miami fan until Lebron showed up (I hate Lebron). In fact, I think most of the hate Miami gets is because of Lebron. Anyways, I really like Dirk and I think J.Kidd deserves a ring, but I'm a MAD LAKERS FAN!! And the Mavs freaking HUMILIATED my team! Due to that one and ONLY reason, I want Miami to beat Dallas. Otherwise, to hell with Miami! Lebron ruined the purity of that franchise!

Btw, it was Lebron's overcockiness that lead to that loss in Game 2. Lebron will never reach the calibur of MJ and Kobe simply because he's overconfident and doesn't have any heart in his game. He hurt his city and now he's gonna wreck D.Wade's franchise.

Yesterday was like a crazy sports movie, unneeded taunting, then the plucky underdogs making the heroic comeback thanks to their injured star?

Sure they do... poor people in non-sports towns.

Thing is with people who don't live in sports towns... the only teams they can really follow are the big teams.  (without spending money.)

Granted they have a lot of well deserved hate, but the heat still have their fans everywhere.

The sign of a team isn't the fan support when they're good... it's the fan support when they're bad.  (Well unless your fan support sucks when your Good.  Like Tampa Bay or well ok... the heat fans needing to "Fan up!")

Well, the German is cheering for the Canucks, so I suppose and I'll reciprocate and cheer for him.

too soon? teams have been known to lose morale completely after a loss like that. it couldn't have happened at a more opportune time. the mavs needed to win one in miami to have a shot in the series. aside from that, according to nba history, the winner of game 3 goes on to win the series. the mavs winning game 2 like that just gave them a lot of momentum.
