I'm not arguing that it's a really small part of the overall system, I'm just saying the EE takes up unnecessary space, which is cumbersome when components need to be shrinked for example. By completely removing it, Sony were better able to make other cost saving measures.

No I was showing that it let them shrink the motherboard, which is good. The pic of the cooling system was extra, to show that Sony took cooling seriously the first time around unlike Microsoft.
