Forums - Microsoft - Witcher 2 on Xbox 360 in November

Three thoughts.

1. This needs to release next year. If they try to release it in November, it will be crushed.

2. Microsoft needs to show that trailer at E3. I don't care if I've seen it before, that was awesome.

3. This looks really good.

GREAT 360 exclusive. About time something other than Gears 3 catches my interest on the system.

This is sad news for me. Not so much that witcher 2 is coming to the 360. I'm worried that if they make a 3rd game to the series it may end up being a console to pc port. I dont want yet another watered down rpg like mass effect 2 or dragons age 2.

well aparently they "shipped" 400k copies of the game on PC week 1 so as long as the 360 version sells less than that I don't think we have to worry.

Why would you want it to sell less? If you like your game/franchise, you should want it to sell a large number of copies, so that the franchise can grow.

I'm worried this might mean Nintendo didn't buy CDProject as I recommend a couple of days ago.

Oh, pity!

So they keep making the games how I like them lol, I do hope that the 360 port sells well just not if it means that the PC version of their next game is hampered to much as long as PC is the main platform they should keep pushing boundries.

TBH I would prefer they announce the first expansion wrather than a port but as long as the port allows them to make better PC games I will be happy.

This is the series I most wanted to make the jump.  I assume the 360 won't handle the graphics very well so I hope they focus on a solid framerate rather than trying for true 1080p.  I've enjoyed all the Euro rpgs available on 360 and this looks like the best of the bunch.  They might want to rethink November.  Doing a 360 version first seems to make sense.  PS3 coding is apparently very different and the Euro games have better nos. on 360.  Well slightly less dreadful.  Maybe more Playstation owners have gaming PCs.  This won't be a huge success financially but I'll appreciate their efforts.

The only problem I see with this, is the November release...
